big fish in a small pond stirling are. 3rd in c's and d's but pull out of b's and only 8!!!! to an a grade game is pitiful. happy valley are no good but you admire there will and effort, they front up each week and are enthusiatic to play. they are a young side and will improve. stirling r useless. on a greater note. good to see a tight comp this year in the a grade. Meadows are top easily but as we have see over the last few years it dont mean a thing. uraidla have sealed 2nd spot and should b tough come finals. onkas and aldgate play eachother this week and the winner will play finals. bridgy can play meadows if they lost or uri if they win. i would say a win will b essential while i am sure meadows are hoping onkas are knocked out. should b a cracker. i will pick meadows uri bridgy onkas final 4. with onkas to beat uri in the gf. thoughts??

I agree a disgraceful effort from Stirling but hopefully this now means that we again have a 8 team comp in the A Grade and play each side in one day and two day game which is a much fair structure.

Finals hey.. Here we go again. I can assure you that Meadows are well aware that being the best side all year means Sweet FA when it comes to March. They want to play Onkas because they want to beat the best side of the last two years, if they dont well they fall short again dont they, but they definately want that match up. However, i feel Onkas will just get over Aldgate and will finish 3rd and play Uri's in the SF and Bridgey will play Meads. That would mean both games could go either way with Uraidla having the wood over Onka's in recent times.

I couldn't agree more, the fixture we are using is so biased as it is so short. the only way that bridgewater are in the finals this year is that everyone was washed out in the hills and they were able to play and get an outright down at happy valley. hence they puled approximatley 17.5 points to everyone elses 3. when we played them they were as bad as anyone we have played this year. mt lofty and happy vally will improve again next year and continue to be more competitive.

Interesting who will win out of H.V and stirling this week.

A good battle for 4th spot in TVCA is looming. The ‘pirates’ need a further 152 against Lenswood to cement their spot in the finals. Gum need about 40 more to defeat Woodside, and with a Paracombe loss will earn the privilege of losing to Lobey in a final. 8)

Did Lenswood knock the Pirates out of the Finals??? Gumeracha defeated Woodside to give themselves a chance of playing Lobey in a Semi........

Ordinary? The Pirates all out for 33 in a Semi Final against Lobey could be considered ordinary.

Ordinary is far too polite I think ;) A mate did square leg ump duties, he said they were 6/6 at one stage, and lobey had put down a few catches as well

Woodside lose another semi, shame.

Other finals this weekend:

A2s- Mt Torrens/Charleston v Palmer. MTC destoyed Cambrai in the SF and are sitting undefeated, so you'd think they would win it. Have lost a couple of recent GFs though which could be a factor (06 :D and 09 :D )

Bs- Woodside Red v Eden Valley. Would be good to see EV win something.

TVCA A Grade GF: Lobethal 181 v Kersbrook 4/9

The visitors did well to keep to Lobey to 181, the last 5 or 6 wickets falling cheaply. The 6 over stint before stumps was a disaster though.

Eden Valley spanked top placed Woodside in the B grade final. Woodside and finals just doesnt mix.

Lobethal wrapped up Kersbrook's innings just after drinks to claim a 7th straight TVCA A grade flag. Not sure what the Brookers ended up on, but I'm guessing about 80 or 90. Lobey made 180.

Mt Torrens/Charleston go undefeated by easily accounting for Palmer in the A2s. Surely the green and golds will make the move up to A grade next season.
