Mitch & Matt Hein going from Wistow to Nairne most likely or possibly Strath.
Massive blow to Wistow.
Hahndorf only gonna have 1 senior team this year? Makes it hard to compete in 'A' Grade with no 2nd side.

Interesting Sources you Have Jackpot Jim! I too have heard this but from what I've heard nothing has been decided on their future destinations, both Nairne and Strath are Equal Options You put both the Hein Lads in Straths' Team and i think you have a new favourite for the flag.
You're right about it being a blow to Wistow, Interesting to see what happens There.

Would be pretty hard to have a weaker team than last year. Always have some handy players floating through the team but as always, having them available consistently has often been the trouble. Very hopeful we'll have a significantly better team but as always, until footy is out of the way, (including footy trips which are always the 1st or 2nd week of the cricket season FFS) , one can never be too sure what we'll end up with.

Rumour has it one of the Hein boys will be commiting to Strath in the Coming days, and the other one will decide in the near future as well. Big win for Strath if this Rumour is True.

Not too much news coming out of TVCA. Looks like being a 9 team "A" Grade comp, with Springton making the step up. Some talk of re-establishing an "A2" comp , but surprisingly this wasn't fancied by many clubs. 9 teams in "A" grade not ideal, creating fixturing issues and a rather large gulf between the best and worst teams.

2 day cricket remains part of the "A" grade fixturing, but for how long? My guess would be this'll be the last season we see it.

Juniors remain a real concern.

Any other player movements that anyone knows of. Heard one of the struggling teams of last year may be chasing some players from the premiers??

None that i've heard of. Wouldnt suprise me if People look to leave Nairne, if your not in the Boys Club you may as well play somewhere else. if my club doesnt win it, all i can hope for is Strath knock nairne off their high horse.

Hope you're wrong about 2 day cricket saintal.
Fifty-over one-dayers are okay, but 40-over games every week makes for boring A-grade cricket IMO

50 over one dayers you'd have to kick off at 11am! Long days!

Used to play 50-overs on the West Coast starting at 12.30, with the upside being more chance for spinners, downside less out-and-out quick bowling.
Doubt it would happen in the TVCA, but doesn't make continual 40-over cricket any less boring.

Was a 5-4 vote FOR 2 day cricket this seson. A few years ago there was really only 1, maybe 2, clubs considering going to all 1 dayers. Given most teams inability to bat 70 overs these days, this'll make the decision to go to all one dayers easier.

Our association is far too 'laid back' for 50 over games. Would stay at 40 I feel. At my age 80 overs is enough :?
