rumours circulating that the Stanley Bridge CC have folded  ...every C grade team drawn to play them gets a bye

no great loss

No rumour they are gone!

The Crafers Primary oval is an interesting one had not seen it before. It has an east/west pitch.
I predict someone is going to get hurt in C grade playing on that pitch this year, :( particularly with the likes of Agars and Smithy bowling.

alaska, the pitch at upper sturt primary goes the same way. and ur right could see a nasty accident happening there. hopefully after daylight savings is here it wont be as much of an issue.

With Stanleys pulling out, why doesn't someone use Oakbank Area. has to be better than Crafers and Upper Sturt??

just looked at our C grade draw...we have 14 home games out of 18!!!!

obviously as we have 2 ovals available all the time between 3 teams they have done it that way....drawback is we dont get to play on those small ovals! :(

Great run chase by Mylor Bs to snare the outright - 140 in 14 overs! Heaven knows what scores we'll get when we bring the boundaries in!!!

Good spirit between the two sides, despite some trying times...

Banker spot on with your prediction another 5 for for Parters which destroyed the Pumps batsmen!
Although they were not much, must have lost some from last year.

Yeah I noticed that too SCIB CC. Looks like the half the SCIBs B grade side played (and won)

Were there any players out or is that pretty much the team for the year?

3 players to come back hopefully Banker.
I just noticed Dutchy paying out how old we were whilst having a read.
He should be helping out his A's instead of those young blokes having to put up with Nick Justice.

Well round one has past us by with no real suprises. Wonder if there might be an upset in this weeks round.

Aldgate vs Uraidla - I will go Uraidla in a close game
Meadows vs SCIB - Meadows @ home to win, you might need those 3 players back this game SCIB.
Mt Lofty vs Happy Valley - Important game for both teams to stay off the bottom, ill go Mt Lofty to keep Dutchy happy
Bridgey vs Onkas - Another good game, ill go onkas as their bowling will be to strong for a inconsistent bridgey batting line up
Stirling vs Baskets - Again important the loser may take the wooden spoon, Stirling played well last week got a lot closer then many would of expected.

Give us your tips boys

Thanks for the advice, whats your problem with Nico? perhaps the fact he made more than twice the amount of runs you did last season?

So assuming the 3 are Loco, BT and CT? Might have to make some tough calls this week to keep the juniors...

Wells to B grade? :D :D

Your assumptions would be wrong Mylor Boy! Loco is away, CT isn't interested and BT is supposedly playing tennis with his missus though he may realise his dream of making the tour is far fetched and return to SCIB later in season

2 to come in would be Chucky and AA.

Good effort from Frohl's to take 8 for. Echunga still made a big score though

Could be a long year for Birdwood I think. Bowled out for 55 and 99 at the weekend. By the looks of it, half of their side is from their winless A2's team of last year 8)

hmm very interesting... big losses for the future

Tips for this week-
Uraidla over Aldgate- Should be very close tho
Meadows will thump SCIBs
Happy Valley over Lofty unless Justice makes runs, he's there only hope
Bridgy over Onkas- Should be close tho
Stirling over Baskets for the wooden spoon.

And in the B grade if Mylor can have a good win against Aldgate this weekend I personally believe they should start thinking seriously about a shot at A grade next year. Training facitlities at piper park will need to be upgraded tho

Aldgate will bounce back from their Meadows match and beat Uraidla in a tight one
Meadows over SCIB
Lofty over Happy Valley comfortably
Onka's over Bridgey but Bridgey's batting will come to form later in the season
Stirling over Baskets by a bit

Won't need to upgrade training facilities at Mylor if no-one ever trains there. But a strong side which could trouble a few current A-Grade teams.
