LOL - my sentiments exactly... Could win the bloody A-grade flag if they trained...

Thanks for the updates Cougar.

what a miserable day for cricket. We finished in near darkness down at Lenswood. To make matters worse we lost a cliff-hanger for the third week in a row :?

Sounds like you lost to Kersbrooks A2s, heard they had a fair run chase on their hands but was unaware of the outcome. That would make both Kersbrook sides, free from free.

Yeah, played Kersbrook. Half of their premiership team was missing. Not sure of the story there.

I can't believe that someone from Mylor is bagging people about inbreeding.

Lofty have really improved this year dutchy and red capper, half your As players wouldnt make any other B grade team appart from M.Pistola Justice the pom, and one of em, well WOW, i dont no how he plays Cs. sad really because you talked them up to be the next "INVINCIBLES" prior to the season, its time for them to emalgimate with another team. Thats a bit harsh Dale, I don't remember anyone talking us up to be "invincibles". We are only 3 weeks into the season and although the scores haven't really shown much so far, there has been improvement. The club is in a rebuilding stage at the moment, and this is justified by the number of young players being blooded into the A grade side. Playing top level two day cricket is the only way that we will improve. Turnouts at training are always fantastic and the C grade is quite strong, and this will only help us improve. While it may take a while for us to return to the top section of the ladder, in the meantime, we are still remaining competitive.

bazzw- ever thought about a career in PR? :D

When did lofty last field a B grade team?
You cant develop players in C grade, thats why you have to play them in A's.

Meanwhile in B's, Mylor posted 360 against the reining premiers... I still stand by my comment from last week about them having a crack at A's next year.

Great work from Warby. Things looking a little shaky for Aldgate in both the a's and b's early in the season. Banker, I think we had a B grade team in 05, not sure though as I only joined the club last season. I agree with the Mylor comment also, they would certainly be more than competitive with some very handy cricketers in their side.

Mount Lofty had a B Grade side in 2005. I played in it.
But when a lot of experienced players like Trent English and Iain Evans stopped playing, and Sean Tarone, Adam Bennett, Ollie Heathfield and Stuart Gould left to other clubs we struggled to put a team together that could regualry commit to the two day form of the game...
With this in mind, the club is in a lot stronger shape now due to brilliant work off the field, from blokes who have turned MLCC into a real club environment.
Our young team, made up mostly of blokes who have come through the ranks at Mount Lofty, has had a slowish start to 07/08... but to say that half our team couldnt play B Grade at other clubs is going a bit over top I reckon. I play D Grade and I reckon I could get a hit in most clubs B Grade dale...
Sorry mate but as much as you want it... the Red Caps aint emalgimating with no 1.
