Mylor Bs managed a win, despite a go-slow from the Gate. They must be struggling - can't even cheat properly anymore :-)

Geez, we've had some great underwater matches against Gators over the years...

This is the Hills association website with all active clubs:
http://hillsca.cricketvault.com/common/ ... clubs.aspx?

not sure about the other associations.

Geez, bit surprising the Woodside result. I wouldnt rate their attack as overly potent. Still, hard to feel much pity for Paracombe

looks like the Meadows boys are starting to aget a bit arrogant, declaring 17 overs early and then not getting a wicket and leaving the door open for a redcaps victory?

looks like a it was a good semi final rematch in the C grade...couple of noticable additions to the Gate C grade line up....didnt know Colonel and Ollie where from NEw Zealand!

Redcap D grade dismantled the Mylor CC...Fatty How could you let Tucker get runs! we wont hear the end of it!

You're definitely right there Bookie.

Reid's innings contained maybe 12 x 6's all of which went somewhere in the bushes over the short boundary at Heathfield Oval. This somewhat minimises the effect of having a fairly rough outfield on which to play but stil 284 was a big total.

Certainly wouldn't call Meadows arrogant for their declaration but with a 15 over old ball and our 2 best batsmen in the hutch and both due for some runs, it might maybe possibly hopefully could be an upset, probably worth an outside bet if the odds were right, like 10/1.

Other matches pretty interesting, Aldgate scored a surprisingly high score against Bridgey but I think the Bridgey boys are due for some runs and will knock of the big total.
Onka's didn't do as well as expected against Uri, maybe an upset if someone can support Hunter?
Happy Valley's bowlers did well against Stirling but their batting is stil very weak. Stirling should win and then push for an outright.
SCIB's did what was expected to Baskets.
Other opinions???

I would of thought the declaration was a fairly smart one, seeing Meadows has a very strong bowling attack and Lofty's batting well i dont have to go 2 in depth there because there isnt much... On the comment of the pace of the oval, i must admit i havent played there (heathfield Community) this year but in previous years it has always been very slow and 284 is a massive score and Dutchy 284 on the Community would be close to 400 on the high school. I would very suprised if Meadows lose that game, and i would be again very suprised if they didnt end up with 15 wickets.

Same with Belair oval its has always been quick at the start of previous seasons so 315 isnt that big of score..

Uraidla will have there work cut out chasing 250 against a strong Onkas attack

Even though Belair is quick, 315 runs on the board is going to make it tough for shanty.

read the post above...I thought the game WAS at the high school and I corrected myself!...if I was in Meadows position I would have batted another 10 oves get 330+ then chuck them in, have some faith in your bowlers that they can get the job done in 75 overs thats all.....

belair was lightning, anything that beat the infield went for a boundary. i dont remember a ball being chased down in the outfield all day. having said that bjordal batted well and Bridgy were lucky to get him when they did otherwise aldgate could have been in the high 300's easily.

i heard dubois for meadows was bowling express on saturday too?
