bridgy will be missing a few from last weeks line up, that got thumped by the gators. nonetheless the likes of bickerstaff, flinn, m.smith will easily make up for them + summeruill has been making a few in seconds. my worry would be that the bgrade will be very light on + because 5 are missing 1 player will miss a full game of cricket.

the hoyles, donaldsons and remaining yuill of this world should prove too much for the red caps however justice usually does well against us. i cant see anyone in the lofty side hitting runs (besides n.j) nor the bowling line up having the venom to bowl bridgy out cheaply (below 180 being leniant). i rekon the last 2 or 3 games these sides have played bridgewater have ended up over 300.

id also suggest that the gators will get up over the valleys by a bit more than 80 - batting will be far to strong + prior and henschke will be too much. ray stephans could prove important with those dangerous nudies he bowls + getting heaps paul collingwood at the kevin crease.

no didn't get too smacked Doug as we batted for all our overs.

The Lofty Redcaps batted into the 70th over for the first time in 3 seasons and made 169 on a slow Bridgewater Oval - a few less than ideal but we can defend it!

Kersbrook needed 20 to win when last man Paul James joined his brother in law Adam Groverman. They got it down to 3 to win when P.James hit P.Hills over mid on for two to level the scores. After blocking the next two deliveries, he played on for the third to leave the scores at 213 a piece.

Dont know about that Banker i think if you looked at their draw you would of expected them to be 3 & 1 and perhaps 4 & 1 after next week against Happy Valley. Their test comes after Christmas when they play Aldgate, Bridgey, Uri's & Onkas. They would have to win 3 of them to make the finals at least. They may struggle i would of thought.

Mylor surely into the A Grade next year, whether they win the flag or not. So it posses a interesting question, who will be dropped from the A Grade? might add some interest to the Mt Lofty & Basket Range game.

Meadows almost assured of a finals birth assuming they dont let any easy game slip to Baskets, Stirling or Happy Valley and only Bridgey and Onkas to play.

Uraidla would also be set to make finals i would of thought with only Bridgey to play this game and then only easy games remain SCIB, Stirling, Mt Lofty, Baskets.

My tip for the top 4 as it stands now...
Meadows
Onkas
Aldgate
Uraidla

Be interesting to hear some opinions on the Hills A Grade comp and how it might end up.

Do you think a team would be forced to drop down?

Baskets B grade are really struggling and Lofty dont even have a B's. I can just imagine the commtion that would be caused if the HCA approached Lofty to drop down

Wont happen....the HCA accepted years of mediocraty from Stilring yet never dropped them back down, can only happen if its voluntary....Mylor would have to wait or play with 11 teams

Yeah was alright day thanks Banker! Given the hangover too!
Cricket Fan! So if SCIBs are 4-1 at christmas your saying we wouldhave to win atleast 3 of our games afterwards to just make the finals. So SCIBs would be 7 wins 2 losses and only just scrape in. Wow gonnabe tough for anyone to make finals if thats the case.

Im gonna say Meadows, Onkas, Aldgate will be in. With SCIB or Bridgy in the last position.
Time will Tell

And Baskets have to go down before anyone. They are woeful and their B's are worst. So they both need to drop downa grade. Atleast Lofty can occasionally put up some resistance.

Dutchy - it may be true that Stirling have remained in the A grade comp, but i think we all know why that is! Surely nothing to do with Grotty being HCA pres!

On a related subject - this year any team that forfeited after R2 was up for a $75 fine per day they missed. Stirling have forfeited once so far in their C grade. However, given the fine is at the discretion of the HCA committee i'd be surprised if they actually got one...... how can you fine yourself?

good point Cheapy...I wasnt going to say it!

when the issue comes up at a HCA committee meeting if your a member of a club concerned you should leave the room or at the very least not be involved in the discussion...whether that happens or not who knows...

and at least we are full of kids in the A grade, so plenty of upside
