only really interesting because clarendon rival happy valley as the biggest cheats ive ever played against. we had their umpire (captain i think) call a clear edge to first slip a bump ball. they just cheat so f-ing blatonly it just ruins the game. in the end yeah we lost anyway but should keep top spot if we win this week but it also stuffs up mylors chances of finals. have heard happies are out of our league next yr, take clarendon with ya!

cant disagree there GTS, Clarendon game was probably the most unenjoyable game Ive ever been involved in...they are a joke, we put up with crap from Stanleys for years, finally get rid of them and Clarendon take their place

Theres a chance you will be playing them in the first week of the finals, might come out and watch unless were playing...

Congrats to Jake Brown who makes his 1st Class debut for the Redbacks this week!

i dont want a team in our association that is gonna act like that. They tried too do that sort of s***t against us and JT smashed them all over the park. Its not on doing that sort of crap too a young fella who is in his first or second year of A grade.
i think its bullsh!t and im glad he got suspended..

If most of there team are good blokes why do you want them to leave for a couple of tossers? Your comp over ther isnt very strong and i suspect if you any lose more teams that it would become very hard to sustain a comp at all as Ashbourne & Echunga are not really A Grade standard. I wouldn't mind Hahndorf returning to the HCA and Happy Valley or Basket Range dropping out to be honest! Well i guess if Hahndy did pull out your chances of winning may increase so i suspect that's your reasoning! By the way who's their Tossers (Apart from Deleted)? We may need to sledge them next season!!!

Jaensch is at bridgy... and on here...

Rumour has it Happys are leaving, and surely Baskets would be re-considering there move to A grade after struggling in all grades this season.

How many teams does Handorf have?

Why would we want Hahndorf back in the Hills??
Regardless of whatever happened last week if as rumoured Happy Valley goes back to Southern and Basket Range back to B grade we would be back to 8 teams in A grade. Then we could once again have 7 two day games and 7 one day games, which is by far the best program we ever had in Hills cricket for A grade. Teams will get an equal number of home games (unlike now), and things like a wash out wont prove quite as costly as they do now.
Hopefully the Hills hierachy realise this and make it a priority, maybe then u wont have so many A grade players playing C grade aswell.(that is not a shot at anyone as we have 3 or 4 blokes who should be playing A's in our C's)

LOL turn it up...

But I agree with alot of your points. We need more one dayers in B grade aswell. Not many C graders want to play B's....

LOL! I said we shouldn't bother applying because we sure as hell wouldn't get it. Need to be a bit more subtle.

And can confirm neith AJ or Big Gay Al Cooper are playing A/3s. Both were named slash players in the A/2s.

You might see Cranna there though. Clearance has been granted for him if Jimmy wants to select him.

Two of us? I presume the other is Brenton then?

The draw is just about impossible with 9 teams - especially in a season shortened by an early Easter. This season was not ideal. We considered a format (my suggestion as it happens) for A/2s that did see everyone play each other and with a few one-dayers chucked in but it involved a few Sunday games to make it all fit and made coordination of ovals a nightmare.

I agree we do need to ensure some one-dayers are played in A and B grade for two reasons:
1) so players aren't tempted to play below there level just so they can play onedayers (some of our A/2s are already suggesting they'll opt for that next summer - and that can't be good for us, or the comp.
2) Because we've sucked a bit in the Meyer in the couple of years without one dayers in the A/1s.

Problem is the 9 teams.

All suggestions gratefully accepted - as are nominations for new committee members!!!

haha jks, even if we could get clearance, jimmy didn't want to drop anyone to play him which is fair enough. We will register him early next season and make sure he can play a game or 2

7 x 2 dayers, 7 x 1 dayers, a perfect mix, everyone happy. :D
