4 club games for the season to qualify for finals, doesn't matter what grade, the only stipulation is they can go up a grade but can't go down.
How's the junior rule, you can have an under 13 kid play all year in under 15's and not one game in his own age group, come finals, he is allowed to drop back down, as long as he's played 4 club games.

You would have thought it would be a rule all the way through from jnr's to seniors. Im one for having to play atleast 4 games after christmas in the grade you intend on playing finals for.. Whats ur thoughts??

I'm pretty cool with it, every year for the past 3 years we've had players unavailable come finals due to Central District football commitments, football trial injuries, work injuries, work and a host of other unforseen drama's. We generally like to settle sides leading into finals and some things are out of the hands of the selection committee.

As long as teams can't drop players down, I can't see a problem with it. I do recall one club naming an ATCA player as their 12th player on the match report each week despite him playing elsewhere, subsequently, he lined up in their div 7 semi final team and cleaned us up with the ball and the bat.

So, to clarify, one needs to play four matches (for a finals bound side) in the post Christmas period to qualify for that team's finals games? Have I got it right?

4 club games that season. Example: A Grade make the finals, any B, C or D grader that played 4 games or more for the season for the club is eligible. Or any junior that has played 4 games for the club in that season, we had an under 15 play in the GF last year despite not playing any senior game for the year.

Unfortunately the revision has gone up 7 degrees from what they have been saying so it doesnt look good. I hope it does change but the temp forecast rarely goes down - always goes up.

At least we managed to get our 20/20 GF in before the heatwave.

Smithfield 7/150 def. Craigmore 85. At least we won something for the year, it was a good comp, played in good spirits and brought 4 clubs closer together, all 4 clubs agreed to repeat it next season as we have a shield for it.

There was some real highlights throughout the comp, it was ran pretty well and we kept within the PDCA playing rules. We'll be getting together and naming a team of the series.

It was a good money spinner for all clubs involved.

Will the association look at bringing a T20 comp back in next season? Could be over a weekend rather than every wednesday which I think became more of a hassle in the end and took away the enjoyment.

i honestly think if the kid is good enough to play 15s then good luck to him playing in under 13s finals..
the only thing i wouldnt agree on is the little fella who has to miss out for him..
what about this one!! a bloke plays one game before christmas and then cant play untill the last 3 rounds due to work comitments, this week is heat effected and just say next week is washed out  , and he can only play 3 games instead of 4 to qualify... is that bad luck?

def a good idea... we played a twenty twenty at sals west at the begining of the year, and i reckon there was nothing wrong with it.. bowlers off short runs makes it easier to see the ball..
played at north as well and again i didnt have a prob with it, after hearing alot of negatives about it i seen the ball fine..
was also told you have to bat first at north,so when i lost the toss and was sent in i was

When matches are canned due to the heat why don't you play 20/20's so at least there is a result and not as much affect on the players?
For every one I miss I am closer to a hole in one.
