Yeah i heard someone say that was Croydons home ground when they played. One of the run-ups was a bit annoying though. Heaps of sand.

what happened to the pitch at fitzroy oval??? we have our family day their on sunday and we usually have a cricket match but we have been told the pitch is covered up. Are you guys currently playing your home games at a different venue?

We are playing our games at Sansom Road, West Lakes Shore. The ground has been getting repaired and we thought that it was best to stay off it for the whole season. Footballers have started training there now, which isnt that smart IMO, but thats probably why the pitch has been covered up.

Jsut looking at that picture agree that Ian Nelson has not aged at all. Played at Adelaide with him for a while and even shared a room with him on an end of season trip to Pirie. Good bloke and good criciketer. Hope he is going well.

Yes he is, a champion player and a champion bloke too, tho his medium pacers off 3 steps are starting to slow down with his bad shoulder. What team did you play for when you played against him?

Western Youth Centre mate, also played footy against him in my Lockleys FC days.

My medium pacers are slowing too, and off 6 steps my run up is twice as long as his!!!
