GAME 6 VS NT
For the 3rd straight day we only had a 55min break between games, so the boys were starting to look tired. Luckily Pete Thomas won the toss and we batted.

Another chance for the young kids to have a go and it started with 14 yr old Ethan Ericson, he put his hand up to open the batting for his 1st hit of the week and didnt disappoint.

Ethan proved to be the lynch pin we built our innings around. Although scoring slowly, he managed to turn the strike over regularly as well as hard running turning runs into doubles.

Ethan carried his bat for the entire 20 overs, finishing on 25 off 49 balls, almost all of those runs picked up in singles.

A better team batting performance seen us get to 3/115 off our 20 overs with Ken Karpany top scoring with 38 off 21 balls.

Confident we could defend that total with the way our bowling had been over the few days, we set about knotching up our 2nd win for the week. Willie Serle opened the bowling and bowled an amazing spell, tearing through the NT top order to have them reeling at 3/12.

Willie finished up with figures of 4/13 off 4 overs.

NT continued to lose wickets, yet through the hitting of a couple of blokes were still right in the game up to the last over.

SA managed to hold their nerve though and snag that 2nd win, restricting NT to 9/107.

SA 3/115 (Karpany 38 [21], Ericson 25 [49], Croft 20 [15] d NT 9/107 (Serle 4/13, McGregor-Cassidy 2/8, McCafferty 2/30)

Congratulations to Jamie McCafferty on his selection in the "black caps" side selected tonight. Quite funny, McCafferty was selected as the opening batsman, but as it turned out didnt make any runs and picked up 11 wickets bowling his medium slow left arm tripe lol and got in for that!

Unfortunately injury probably cost Will Serle a spot in the side, missing 2 games and still finishing as our best performing all rounder.

Also congratulations to Marcus McGregor-Cassidy, Dominic Croft and Ray Smith on selection in the u/20s development side.

The development side will compete in the up coming arafura games in NT.
