Salisbury West have a number of "stars" where as when we win, its generally because of Jamie so therefore I think you'll find he should poll quite well.

It is a shame the association dont do it like a proper count on the presentation night. It would make an otherwise very boring presentaion evening a little more interesting. It would prob only take 20 mins to do gr 1 and gr 2 and i do think they now have some people on the committee with enough skill on powerpoint to pull it off.

I don't think that the PDCA would like to embarass the umpiring fraternity. Yes it would be good and I'm pretty sure there are a couple of pretty cluey executives now, but it would make for some outright p!ss-taking on the night, a good attitude only goes so far.

But that even happens on Brownlow night - I'm not saying it should be like that but surely makes the umpires accountable also.

Couldnt see most of the contenders turning up - especially the likes of Sibbick - probably wont turn up to his own club count being his last year ;)

They normally give a list of the top two chances from each team, they'd get a fair percentage of those turn up, it's generally a good catch up night, I always book an annual leave for the next day.

One thing that i have noticed on presentation night is that they only read out the winner why dont the read out say the top five from each division

It would be a good idea to put forward to the executive committee, I think this year would be out of the question but it could be good for the future.

I've been involved in the PDCA for a long time, I love catching up with old mates and getting on the gas talking about the 90's etc. I've got good mates now from most clubs, I think it's a great get together. It's better when Benny wins the medal or Two Wells win the flag, they tend to lower the drink prices on these occasions.

Nothing against two wells but if they had the presentation at a more central location you might get a few more people turn up.

Salisbury West 145 (Creek 52; Sibbick 5/43, Brown 3/13) def Brahma Lodge 131 (Sibbick 51, Brown 31; Davies 5/48, Picton 2/22)
Two Wells 8/218 (Maclean 73; Fuller 4/43) def Sandy Creek 9/180 (Donahoe 51, Roberts 44; Hewitt 4/51)
Virginia 176 def Rose & Crown 129

If my calculations are correct then this is the ladder grade 1
1. Westies 105.08 play - Rosies and Atco
2. Virginia 85.43 - play lodge and OTH
3. Wells 81.22 - play OTH and BL
4. Brahma 79.55 - play Virginia and TW
5. OTH 72.46 - play TW and Virginia
6. Sandy's 69.12 - play atco and rosies
7. Rosies 60.42 - play SW and SC
8. Atco 49.80 - play SC and SW

Anyone from 2-6 can miss out - hopefully we get no heat in the next four weeks - looks like some cracking games. Sandy Creek certainly have the easiest run.

If this is true? We are closer than i thought we would be. 10 points shy of Lodge, very interesting . If we only win first innings points this week and still come out of the game with 10 points that will put us on 79.12. Lodge loose to virginia, only come out of it with 4 points that gives them 83.55 , then we are within 4.43 points.

i still think you will finish 4th..

And we miss out?[/quote]

yeah mate... but we want you to beat virg.. just think sandy will win 1 game out right out of the 2
