Which Golding is going to Bridgey ?

Fielke i believe is playing , don't know about Bawden. The Coopers' have for years been managing to mix cricket with the pursuit of the fairer sex. Warby i would think would continue to lead the rabble and their is no way Gaunt will ever get a sun tan - he worked on a cruise ship for years and all he got was more freckles. I hope this answers most of your questions.

Mylor have always been a rabble. They had the opportunity this year to come up with the big boys with baskets going back down. But I see that they are quite content to be big fish in a small pond. Typical Mylor!

Hills CA draw is up on the website.

http://hillsca.sa.cricket.com.au

Due to lack of ovals there will be some double headers by the looks. Also in the C Grade there will be some 20/20 matches as social matches (not for points) prior to the start of the season which will commence later than the other grades.

Teams are as follows:

A1: Stirling, Aldgate, Happys, Onkas, Meadows, Lofty, Scibs, Bridgey, Uri
A2: Stirling, Aldgate, Happys, Onkas, Meadows, Lofty, Scibs, Uri, Mylor, Easterns, Baskets
A3: Aldgate, Happys, Meadows, Scibs, Bridgey, Mylor, Easterns
A4: Stirling, Aldgate, Happys, Onkas, Meadows, Lofty, Scibs, Uri, Mylor, Baskets

Dont play 2 day cricket anymore for a few reasons and Im not playing D grade...

Anyway interesting to see so few C grade teams, didnt it have 12 a few years back? but at the same time good too see the B grade so strong which should make a really strong A grade comp...only Bridgy not having a B grade from the A grade teams, good to see Easterns step up to C grade also they must be pretty confident in their depth considering they didnt do much in D grade last year...

funny you say that about Easterns. At the AGM they didnt nominate a C grade, but because there were only 5 clubs nominating in that grade they were pushed up. Also this year see's the end of any pub teams eg Stanley Bridge, Aldgate Pump, Clarendon. Although they could be tossers they provided so much entertainment :(

In regards to Mylor not fielding an A grade side:
There is not enough depth at the club for it to be competitive in the A grade. Whilst the best 11 at the club may be able to compete, and probably win against at least 3 or 4 of the other clubs as soon as one or two of these players become unavailable for a week it leaves a major gap in the side. Having said that, if Mylor did field an A grade side and they were competitive, what would happen next year when the likes of Feilke, Bawden retire and Steadman and gaunt decide to play C grade so they can play one day cricket. Not to mention The Cooper boys, Brock Gifford and Fleety who cannot even commit to playing this year.
I think that the decision by the Mylor cricket club was the correct one.
If they wanted to make the draw easier, why didn’t they drop both Stirling teams down a grade, they have been giving the A grade comp nothing for years!!!

Sounds like a grand idea to me Dutchy!

Trainings are well under way mate, Tuesdays and Thursdays and with daylight savings starting this weekend there will be plenty of time for a hit.

See Peter Hills is back at TTG this season.....Big Loss for Paracombe.

Kersbrook Cavaliers could be off to a slow start to their campaign, with injuries and several players joining the ranks later in the year after a long footy season.

I think it's great that ebert is going to play for uris. Helps shore them up a bit as they need a few guys to help hansie, carts and spud.
