Thanks Mate.

I wonder what grade he played?

From an outsider point of view, i beleive that Lofty will be a lot stronger this year then previous years.
I think the inclusion on Sinkers to the side is great as he is a top bloke and top player, but i have my doubts about this Brown bowler.
He bowled absolute poo on the weekend, with 15 no balls and seriously 15-16 dead balls.
when he put the ball on a good length, it was great, very good to watch but that was only once every 4 overs that he did that.
yes he is quick, probably 120 k's (from a side line point of view) but he needs to work very hard on putting the ball on the spot and not try to kill the batsmen with bouncers.

Is he as quick as Galvin or Dubois?

Its a good point, being quick doesnt mean your good by any stretch of the imagination, to most Hills players the short quick ball aint going to worry too many as the majority are very good back foot players and the quicker they come the quicker they go....

I havent faced those two, but from what I've heard he would probably be up around that mark, but is for more inconsistant. Sometimes its just downright scary if the bowler doesnt know where its going.

no he's not.

Galvin would be the best and quickest bowler in the hills.
He is very quick but he uses the ball very brilliantly.
Not too many short balls from him, just shere pace and great control.

Brown lacked control.
He hit the oncrete so many times that Lofty needed to replace their ball after 45 overs.

A little early to count him out just yet, but going by his performance on the weekend, probably not going to bother too many good batsmen like Read, Hunter Kemp and so forth.

The top fours bowlers in A grade in my opinion would be Galvin, Henschke, mckenzie and Dubios

sometimes it is, but as Dutchy i think said earlier, the quicker they are the quicker they come off the bat.

I think if Tarque comes back to Hills cricket, he would be the quickest bowler by maybe 10-15k's.
He is deadly.

Yeah good call there boys, the quicker they are, the further my edges will fly over the slips. Definetly Galvin, Dubois and Henschke top three, saw Galvin and Dubois down the hill at Heathfield last year and they were lightning.

For someone who is 35 and still taking 28-30 wickets last season, thats not a bad effort.
From what i saw in the last two weeks, he came off 5 steps and bowled after injuring his ankle and still managed to take 2 wickets in his first over.

I havent seen Joel Brown for a while, but knowning him he was probably still half cut on saturday. From what i hear he hasnt done much bowling recently so i think its a little early to write the bloke off.

hahahaha, quite a funny story Dutchy.

He was marking his run up on the first days play when he stepped on his other foot and rolled his ankle.

Not a good start to the season, but showed heart fielding and when he came on to bowl (even though it was only 2 overs).

He is another person i could have added to the list.
He is still an impressive bowler at his age.
No insult intended.

TRB- Good to see you on here ;)
Agree with everything you have said, I watched his first 2 overs from him last sat, he hit the 2nd bit of matting twice in those 2 overs (16balls...), coming off a 40m runup... He played one game for Sturt C's last year, bowled short there too apparently

Dutchy- Ledge bowled well on sat, was he keeping off the woody blues for the arvo? reckon he will play B's?
