tarque is lining up for meadows today and IMO the will b the new powerhouse of the comp now. solid bat and awesome bowler. maybe a few more teams beaten outright by meadows with the new fire power.

Joel Brown is officialy the worst bowler i have ever seen, i dont think there was one ball that bounced on the batsmans side of the matting in his two terrible overs today. Mt lofty 125 (Hunsie 4/30 odd) Uri 0/50 ( Dillon Brown 19 n.o. Luke thomas 18 n.o.) and 16 no balls in ten overs.

After all the hype ive heard about this bloke i wasnt real impressed! sure he bowls with a bit of pace but if ur not gonna put in on the batsmens matting let alone bowl about 10 no balls in 2 overs then i cant see how anyone can talk him up!

It is fair to say that all of the Lofty boys said brown bowled poorly on Saturday. Browny is well short of a run and is having trouble adapting to the step down onto the hard wicket just before his delivery stride. I have seen him a couple of times at training get it right and when he does he is a very good bowler.

Bowling well at training and performing in games though are two different things. Noone is saying that Browny is a great bowler right now so give it a rest boys.

All people are saying is that he is very sharp and has a lot of potential if he can get it right.

exactly...let it go lads....people have said he is quick, which no one says he isnt....lets judge his ability to get wickets over the whole season eh?

if you insist on judging him now then he is averagin 3 wickets a game...

32 actually. Sad day. We think that was our lowest A grade total ever. I think it's the lowest I can ever remember, from any club. Lukey and Donaldson bowled well and at the stumps and we just missed them. The highs and lows of cricket.

Perhaps some of the scibs boys should have spent more time having batting practice in the nets and less time on the forum bagging opposition players. Got run over by the karma bus

thats fair enough too Nixon, but as you might have read, we are not the only ones saying he's bowling poo, the uraidla players have also commented on his "outstanding" performance on the weekend.
Maybe he should go down to the 2's and work on his bowling so he can step up and take the wickets he is expected to get.

i think we deserve all the criticism everyone on the forum hands out as you must be able to take it to give it.
We batted like a bunch of blind mice on saturday, but fingers crossed this is the last time scib cricket club will see a performance like that.
we should hopefully go out next saturday and forget the week before and try and go for the outright to salvage some pride.

i am feeling very positive about next saturdays game as all the players from scib are as we all know that we can pull an outright win.

Mr Nixon, I think if you look back you'll find the only player that was bagged was Brown from Lofty and he deserved it as much as we do as we batted as badly as he bowls.
