The best batsmen ive seen in junior cricket by far is dylan dunbar his technique and timing is something to admire, his mum gave him those talents i reckon, and or sisters :D , but then again i remember going out to watch him play at uraidla in a semi final and he didnt get many that day, prolly becoz there was some absolutely awesome cricketers in the gaters team that day!!! But seriously Dunbar i reckon will play state cricket, especially if Terry Keeps going with the beautiful coaching he does.

And the best batsmen in A grade cricket would have to be Greg Hassold he is a wonderful stroke maker, he has hit one of the biggest sixes ive ever seen, he almost hit it past his massive head. and trust me ive seen his head almost explode!!!..!! His fielding is also exceptionle altho he is a bit over the top, all in he is a great cricketer, and great cricketers are cocky, just like Greg

Yes your right on the hill, benny is an absolute BCC Legend, not only on the cricket field but at poker after trainings on Thursdays, dissapointing to see him playing Ds and Cs though i would have thought he might of kicked on this year (after starring the raiders Courier cup game last year) his batting is superb and his line and length is astonishing, i have heard rumours that he could be venturing down to the Stingrays next year as Bowling coach. Any truth in these rumours?

Yeah, I know he put in an interesting performance at Hahndorf about 18 months ago when one of his hothead players decided to start throwing punches at one of our bowlers.

Old man Dunbar played the roll as 16's coach at BCC last year, The Rays have approached him for season 07/08. I do believe he has playing B's for the last couple of season after coming outta retirement. Played a handy roll as a bowling coach in Victoria Country Coach a few years back

I agree with your comments about young Dunbar & Sinkers, they are two real quality young blokes,we'd love to have them.Good lads too.Ben Thomas for us has improved big time this year and hes another who should become a top liner.
I just read about Gifford playing at Mylor ??? Im not sure if this is true but if it is Mylor you have just made your worst decision of the season.
Its good that you think you have a great future and I hope you follow Basket Range's lead but there is a big,big gap between A2 and A1,especially against the strong sides.

M.Coats is in doubt for the coming weeks game after dislocating his shoulder in an early morning footy session at Mylor Oval.

Yeah Gifford is pie chucker - reminds me of Scott Muller can bowl , cant throw. Dont know why he wastes his time putting on the whites.
