Fulham pooraka game must have been exciting. 4 needed off the last ball.
If pooraka got home reynella may have snuck in the four. So close!

Maybe the cricketing gods were smiling upon Fulham after the issues they had last weekend.

I know what ground id rather play on

Good by the SPOC boys to agree to move the game.
Had they not, a forfeit would have seen IF miss finals.

A forfeit was never on the cards. Decision to transfer the game was made on Thursday and as it turned out the irrigation issue was resolved Friday and by Saturday the area had dried out sufficiently for the game to have gone ahead at Rowe Park.

Obviously had a fair bit of trust in the current batch of players to get it done.

Trinity in A1 .... wow

Deserve it. Quality, well Balanced side. Massive advantage playing out there too.

Surely not many clubs have done what they have. A3 to A1 in 2 years is outstanding

Patting yourself on the back?!

Well done - Hopefully you go back to back.

not patting myself on the back, the club in whole should be proud of what they achieved. it was a goal to get there in a certain time frame and its been met.

They had not got it done all year, so why would they beat a team above them in the last round???

They would not have won without them and would have been in A2 next year, so turned out pretty smart move in the end!

Good on Grange for staying in A1, but they will have to do some serious recruiting to be competitive next year. I doubt Young and McDermott would commit for a whole season and there would have to be doubts on Benwell, Knight and Tubb playing. I'm not sure their yoinger players are good enough, so it will be interesting to see who lines up for them in round 1 next year.

Ferg has one more year of contract with Redbacks left.

Cooper gets good coin from Port Adelaide already.

They will target some players as will not be competitive in A1 otherwise.

I am really interested in what people like you actually think gets paid to players by a club like Grange?
It is so easy to assume big coin given success that has been there in the past.
Where do you think a club that is only cricket and only has access to clubrooms for half the year get this massive amount of money to pay players???
A very small % of players would receive some coin, but I can tell you no more than clubs like Pooraka, Para Hills, Ingle Farm etc would pay.

Your assumption and terminology of Dollarphins is a joke !!

Jamie Barnes does not play for just free subs, Brad Young, Mark Harrity and Corey Knight would be the same......

Spoken to a few people close to club recently, and definitely in the past with their premierships those players you mentioned were well paid. But nowadays they don't have the money, don't think hardly anyone gets paid, hence the poor showing on field.

I know Marks left Northerns couple of years ago and was getting $15k to play. That's massive coin. And he would not be the only one their getting good money.

No joke they were well paid!, 4 figures in the per game payment!

Think I touched a nerve?

Reynella got to A1 from hardwicket and our player and coach payments equalled zero.

It can be done without forking out coin....its just a bit harder!

Good luck to clubs that can afford to do it but we'd rather spend that money on infrastructure, coaching aids etc.

No nerve mate.
Just a typical comment from someone who needs to sound like they know why a club has been successful.
If you think it was all about money then good on you but you are way off the mark !
