I make no apologies for leaving anybody out of that bowling attack. By far and away they are the guys that challenged me the most.....OB being the standout.
DeBrenne as keeper is an interesting one. Not the greatest gloveman or batsman but an absolute warrior who you'd want in the trenches with you. Would play hard and chirp the s***t out of you and always make important runs.
The batting was a different story. In nearly 200 PDCA games I've played against a lot of quality.....apologies to - Burdon, Marslen, Pickering, Heinrich, Laird, Bitmead, Marschallek, Sellars to name a few. I'm sure plenty more have slipped my mind also.
Anyway....there it is. Feel free to throw abuse in disagreeance
Oz, did you face much of Sonneman (CD) or Verity (OTH), I'm pretty sure Verity used to open bowl with Sellars, left armer. You have a pretty impressive list there, a few other candidates could be A.King(GC), J.Robins(SG), A.Prior(TW), ther used to be another left-armer from Two Wells that used to open with Prior, I can't think of his name atm, he had some pace behind him at times. I've seen Rob Howe and Dave Dohleguy score freely in the past when we've thrown everything at them, I suppose your hands are a bit tied on the subject as you have stated "opposition", there would be a few Salisbury Westians I'd have in there.
