Woodville bats disciplined and batting time, they only need a draw and could bat for 2 days if they're good enough. 2 wickets to Kelly in the last couple of overs of the day give the Eagles a sniff going in to day 2. Woodville 6/228. If they get to lunch it will make it hard for West Torrens, but the Eagles do have the fire power if quick runs are needed.
Tea Tree Gully look to have booked a GF berth at stumps on day one. 5/339 with Head on 165 not out. TTG also just need a draw.
I'm sorry this system of non-compulsory declarations is a disgrace. Batting first is already an advantage in a final but knowing you just have to bat for 2 days is the reason a team scores just over 2 runs an over in a whole day!
If it's good enough for the minor round then what is the problem?
