It certainly is. It's also a place where people hang shit on you if you don't get your predictions right. :D
Over the past few years, Port Pirie Power's mail has been pretty accurate, so we'll watch with interest.

Marks to Grange ? 8)

Wouldn’t have thought he’d be headed to Grange, officially retired from everyone I’ve asked.

Happy to be proven wrong about Hanson etc.. wouldn’t surprise me if they went around again to try and win one more flag! Would have to think that they wouldn’t have to many more years left in them. Their team becomes quite young and inexperienced when the senior blokes finish, interesting times.

Woodville South snag Sam Harvey as their new Captain/Coach. Handy pickup for them and will most likely have them as a major improver in A2.

I'm sure the playing group took a real hit with the loss of one of their "wolfpack", things just wouldn't have seemed the same rocking up on a Saturday.

With Beaty going back to Adl Uni ports early favourites to be in a relegation battle it seems. Shaping to be a very very strong comp this year.

Unless Port Districts recruit some players. Any new recruits lined up at Walkerville? What makes you think it will be a very very strong competition this year. PAOC and Pooraka were light years better than the next best team last year. Big question mark on Pooraka, which leaves Princes a class above the rest ..... unless some teams have done some serious recruiting.

Eranga to spoc both sides coming up should be competative. Pooraka imo will still be a force especially if hanson is getting hits in at northerns then lining up on a sat for the bulls. Heard ingle farm have secured barbs. Alot of A1 clubs improving since last year no scoops on the mighty cats mate ull just have to wait till round one for that.

Pac should start favs but cant see any easy wins in the comp this season. Alot of traveling involved for clubs too this season with trinity scotch marion all in same league.

Plenty of player movement rumours going around currently..

Have heard ingle farm have also recruited tony scott. A2 player of the year with scotch a couple of years ago. Ingle farm spending plenty if barber also joining them
Pooraka not losing any big names from further reports out north. New coach out there
Grove have a new coach in a2, guy been at there club for a number of years. Higgins might be on the move, which would leave a big hole.
Sykes the new coach at valley, with partridge from gepps joining the demons too
And hearing Brahma lodge are trying to recruit just about anyone

Funny you should mention them, I bumped into one of their D graders today and he suggested they've lost more than Pooraka, although some of them are only fringe A-graders:

Ramakhrisnha & W Latchford - moving interstate.
Sanders & Grey - returning to their old clubs.
Griffiths & Tyler - Retiring
H Latchford - taking footy more seriously, not playing cricket this summer.
D Clayfield - New girlfriend made him choose between footy and cricket, and he's playing footy.

He recons they'll get a couple of lads out of the school this year, and is hopeful they retain a couple of the above, but even still, that's a gigantic hole to fill.

That will definitely close the gap.

This is very interesting. Must be a D-Grader with some pretty strong connections to know that much detail :D

Oct 12th confirmed. Starting with a 1 dayer.
No game on the 30th of November, so only 20 weeks cricket this season.
Round 5 is also a 1-dayer (7th Dec).

Xmas break from 22nd Dec to 10th of Jan.

Rd 3 of the T20 comp on Tuesday 7th of Jan, doesn't follow a normal game, and also with no LO comp on Jan 11th, there will be a number of grounds that are preparing a fresh deck for a one-off T20. Curators will love it.

yup, seems they've learnt from that stupidity last season. Now we just need them to cut the xmas break back to two weeks like it always used to be.
