I was driving past the Heathfield High School on Saturday and stopped to watch a bit of cricket. Does anyone know who that little bloke is who was smashing the ball all over the place in the final overs. Looks like a real talent from the little bit that I saw!

Who do you play for Picadilly?
Do you play for Hahndorf Silky skills?
Does anyone know if Chris Pelle still plays down that way? I think he played for Strath?

Bazz - Big Zevy Costi and Sam Miles scored 100 runs off the final 8 overs at the High School last Saturday.

what grade you playing dutchey? - Have heard C's. One would think that you and a few others should be in the a grade to give the younger guys a bit of direction. Or is there a legitimate reason to why your playing in a grade below your standards?

mate theres plenty of reasons - Id love to be able to be still playing A grade but after 16 seasons I dont think you can have a go at me. For the record its a mixture of bone on bone in both knees, just had another kid, cant attend training regularly and am only a week to week proposition to play. So considering this if I took an A grade spot off a youngster who is available, training twice a week and isnt a liability in the field would that be fair for the club????

The kids in the lower grades also need some direction towards higher grades and I hope I can assist with that.

Hows your season going?

Thats fair enough. Wasn't aware of another kid - Congratulations. I wasn't having a dig just wondering why you weren't playing at the highest level, but now i know why. Even after 16 seasons and a couple of bad knees u could still play A's and that is the reason for my initial outburst.

Our season is going ok with 2 wins and a loss. Should settle a little when we get a few players back and start playing with a consistant side each week. However, being C grade how often does this happen? Definately look forward to playing the red caps and hope that young Sam Miles is playing - Should be a good battle.

Warren will be committed to footy, hahndorf have a lad who will be committed to footy trials as well, more of a loss to the creekers then to the maggies. Also panther i have heard that a close friend of yours who recently made his debut with a crushing 52 is reckoned to be just as good if not better then you are these days??? Maybe a new batting coach? Because the lad from the gate is hot up your a$$ lad.

yes the dorf have landed a new recruit, should give them some more potency in the batting department because after hassold and leon there isn't much...theres jaensch but he only ever seems to make runs against the shocking teams;needs to step up to the plate

Fair point Wolf, the A's have lost a lot of senior players so it is basically a under 23 team out there which can be a positive but also not good to get canned every week. The test will be the next 3 games against Baskets, Happys & Stirling, all winnable. Meadows will win the A's easy IMHO.

as for the club its never been stronger with great facilities, a coach, money in the bank and guys missing out some weeks. 30 guys at training is a good confirmation of this. 80% of players thru all grades are 22 or younger.

as for finals i played in 2 in 16 years, 89/90 & 95/96 (when Uri's won)

if you have played against us, whats your thoughts?

Dutchy in saying that Mt Lofty put out an 23 side against Meadows and that contributed to them losing like they did has to be a joke when you compare that to the age of the Meadows A Grade. From what i heard the Meadows side is very young to, am i correct in saying that, does anyone know the ages of some Meadows players??
