Just want to congratulate all teams on making it to the grandy, well done especially to Virginia, didnt think you would make finals let alone the big one, proved me wrong so good luck saturday. Heartbreaking game for sandys b grade needed to take 6 for 30 at one stage to win the game and got it down to one run with one wicket in hand but unfortunately an edge through the slip region saw the boys bow out. Well done to the PGCC boys. If its true, goodluck bomber next year its been a pleasure playin cricket with ya and its a shame Merlin destroyed what ended up being your last hit for the year with a disgraceful decision

Scotty got caught behind and he believed he didnt hit it, but he certainly hit the rubbish bin on the way off then proceeded to stand on the hill and tell Pete Turnbull what he thought of him so could be very doubtful this week.
As for the dismissals:
Bomber - Apparently caught down leg side with daylight between bat and ball even Merlin told him "you win some and you lose some" after the game
Bill - Skied one that landed at point, leading edge i think
Robbo - Knick to Sewelly which he dropped only to have Costanzo there to get a hand underneath to clean it up
Rattas - Laced one off his pads straight to mid - wicket

scotty mac not the only one put in the book on the weekend rumour has it that the whole of elizabeth east div 4 side were reported on sun after there loss to central united i was there for the game and some of the decisions looked a bit dodgey but the way the players swore and berated the umpires was just discrasefull. i think though it probably had more to do with eliz east not loosing a game all year and then going down when it counted i well always next year.

should be a good grand final this week in grade 4 brahma lodge vs central united
does anyone know where game is being played.

Well, the Scott Mac story will play out this week. At the moment he's available, but who knows whether that will be the case Saturday. Would be a pity but if he's out we'll still back ourselves if he isn't. Still good players who are capable to come in if needed.

And I can't even imagine anyone thinking it's in the bag. Virginia gave us a scare in the 2 dayer already this season, while we all know we've not won a GF for a few seasons. Of course there's going to be pressure, heck it's a grand final, but under pressure at 5/40 we came through. And under pressure we backed it up with the ball. We'll be confident of being good enough, confident of our ability to perform under pressure and confident in our ability to fight back when we're not on top.

And given everyone's wonderful predictions of a Sandy v Wells GF I'm very glad judges of this calibre seem to be backing Virginia. Sounds more like you're worried than actually backing your judgement.

It will be a very Average div 1 comp if this were the case...
Not sure either team would like to leave after dismal display's on the weekend!!!
Salisbury West to finally be Premiers this week!!
Well done to Virginia

Angle Vale and Salisbury North will both be competitive.

IF Playford make it to Div1 they will be competitve as someone who has played there a few years but not this year ;) will be bringing mates who are quality cricketers to the club.
As well as a couple of players currently at the club Fulton and Hewitt who would be capable at Div1 level, they will have a side which should be competitive especially if there is no Two Wells or Sandy Creek.

Got any names there West Ham? They played out of their skins on the weekend, they need another strike bowler and another top order batsman that could steady the ship coming in around 5, Donny batted well and was very patient, if he had of got out you guys would've been in strife.
HOGG SHIELD DIVISION V WINNER 2018.
