James 07 what i was trying to say is that if Sandy were to go to Turf it takes more than someone to turn up and sit on a roller for an hour a day...
Good luck to them if they do, there is just alot of work involved in going to play turf... Would have liked to keep playing against them in the para districts though... enjoyed playing against them...

It would shag their junior program, the oval seems to be very dewey in the mornings even when the weather is quite good in the metro area. I'm not a big fan of turf wickets in the PDCA for juniors, Penfield have one and quite often their games are called off when other ones go ahead. The PDCA wont allow turf clubs to host finals either.

It's Sandy's call at the end of the day, they have been a big part of the PDCA history and I have developed a fair bit of admiration for their club and many of their players over the years, it would be sad to see them go, always loved playing out there.

Hey James, do you remember my accidental catch in the 20/20 game out there.

The BLCC did an extensive study 2 years ago on the prospects of getting a turf wicket, and trust me it aint easy.4 piece balls, a curator, a roller, practice wicket, where do the C and Ds play Was a good study and an eye opener at that.

You'd inspire me to kick on another year, I have every intention in coaching and scoring for our A's at the moment, we could re-kindle an old flame. Our oldest A grader is only 24 and we have a great future ahead of us with the right guidance of these lads.

i know you wanna play turf, you will have to adapt but you got the talents
can't wait...........
i think its a great thing, grade 1 gonna be weaker now that wells and sandys gone...
:-({|=
all i know there are some very talented blokes around without a club
like i said give me call :supz:

not to sure its good to see any grade 1 comp get weaker, but that it will if sandy do go as well..
not sure about chrissy to creekers mate, i would think he would be looking for a club close to town, which ever one is closest to another club he has plenty of time for..SUGAR..

Hit the nail on the head there big fella... somewhere close to the city and somewhere im going to enjoy things!!!
Ill go whereever thomo and the boys go... Im sure we will be able to help some side out!!!!
As for going to you blokes Creekesl Little to far away for me now... But best of luck!!!

at the end of the day its a pretty big decision to make.. thomo has def got the job which throws the spanner in the works as well.. if sandy leave there would be a few people not keen in playing in pdca i would think.. so prob alot of people will just sit back and watch what happens.. with 22 talented cricketers potentially not playing in pdca next year makes it hard to to get excited about.. i think if sandy stay in and a few two wells boys play at other clubs you will find the comp would be very healthy, also with bomber going to north would get them back on track.

I see your point catchit, and its very valid..

But you would like to think the PDCA is bigger than 2 grade 1 teams, it may be weak for a few years but you would hope that it could rebuild..

Yeah, he's the oldest, Shaun Goulding pipped him for the runs this year, broke his four year reign.

sib, johny mac, leo, natsias, and bomber maybe..
all of the above and some more are all in there last years,so it would take alot longer than a few years with sandy and wells gone to rebuild.. just my opinion..
