This seasons annual cricketers reunion, and past players v Fitzroy footballers 20/20 match will be played at Fitzroy on Saturday January 16th 2010 at 5.30pm
We are expecting this to be the biggest one yet, with clubrooms, bar, bbq and plenty other activities to be held.

This match will be also celebrating Adam Trimmers testimonial. Love to see any former players to come and join us or anyone else who has played against Adam Trimmer over the years.

As a football side, some would make excellent cricketers.
Fantastic turn out for the club, and the game was played in high spirits won once again by the footballers.
Fantastic to see so many past cricketers come out, one of our best shows ever.

With the new renovations to the Community Club Inside and outside now completed, we have some of the best facilities around and with some big projects on the go, playing cricket at Fitzroy will be even more enjoyable. If you feel a need to change clubs, and look to a club with some young up and coming promising cricketers coming thru, a good after match culture we would love to hear from you, so send me a message and I can give you more info.

On Sunday the 19th of September we will have our season launch at the clubrooms (Sam Johnson Sports Ground Renown Park) which will incorporate family day, training, AGM, Registration and a free BBQ from 11am. We hope to see you there.

All new players are welcome.

We have also organised some pre season trial games, so stay tuned.

Unfortunately not at this stage, has been spoken about, but not in the position just yet.

With all those kids playing footy, captive audience. Got to start sooner or later, may as well be sooner. My kids will be elsewhere by the time you start!

Totally agree with what your saying smac, but the fact is most of the senior players at our club reside in the salisbury/paralowie and modbury areas. Unfortunately none of us can afford the time needed to run junior teams from afar. The first stage for our club is to increase local players at our club and move from there....IMO. We'd all love kids coming through the ranks and i think theres enough kids playing footy at Fitzies to justify kids cricket but without local people to run the teams we'd be kidding oursleves. i hope it happens one day, and the sooner the better.
Just as a side note we do include junior players in our C and B grade senior teams. Last year we had some 14, 15 year olds aswell as quite a few 18,19 year olds.

At this seasons end, we will possibly closer than ever to make this happen. The next step would be someone willing to put there hand up and helping set this up.

We are meeting with some one from SACA very shortly. But at the end of the day, we need parents willing to take an active role, hopefully with the new committee we start start the progress this season.

We start Sunday training this Sunday the 12th September, followed up on the 19th September and 26th of September starting at 1pm at Fitzroy. New players more than welcome.

New renovations at the club are fantastic and we believe we now have facilities equal to that of of any club below District leval.

If you are interested come out over the next few Sundays and meet some of the players and have a look.

We are also part of the 16 clubs that will play this year in the 20/20 S.A.M.C.A Cup.
