From the outside looking in, It seems as tho over the last 3 or 4 years there have been 3 teams competing for the premierships on offer. As none of these teams managed to dominate the others i wouldnt say any of these teams have been powerhouses. Damn good sides with class players but not powerhouses. Same as you probably wouldnt class Hawthorn a powerhouse side even tho they won the premiership last year. Premiership team, yes, powerhouse team, not yet. Central Districts you probably would class them as a powerhouse team.

jordan led bulls= powerhouse
brisbanes 3 in a row= powerhouse
man utd = powerhouse
torrens island= powerhouse
para districts cricket sides = no powerhouses to be a strong side in para districts u just need eleven blokes who contribute thats what makes em strong but by no means powerhouses the minnows only have 4 or 5 at times (virginias 2 this year did well) and brahmas struggled to have more than 3.if u look at the averages at the end of the year ball dominates bat by a long way so u could say 6 solid bats or more if your lucky gets u to the top of the tree.

I wasn't saying equal odds, from the end of one season to the start of the next, they have a 12.5% chance of winning the flag. From there til game time the percentage of chances will go up or down, depending on who they recruit or lose.

Put the best 11 from TW, SW, and SC and then decide who has the best list.

My intial thoughts are prob SW, TW, then SC.

Just to put my 2 bob's worth in...

I was lucky enough to play for both Centrals while they won 3 in a row and lucky enough to play for Two Wells in there maiden grade 1 flag but I would have to say the Centrals side was alot stronger and had alot more depth. The Centrals side of old would be far superior to the ones going around at the moment. Just my opinion!!!

Dwayne Jones was one of the first bowlers i faced in grade 1, and still to this day was someone I wasnt comfortable with..

But maybe that was because I hadnt face someone like that before.

catchit - you have made comparisons to jones and ratters havent you?

Jones was one of the best cricketers i have ever played with. Good with bat and ball. I would rather face Ratters anyday of the week. Although im sure if Ratters back was 100% it could have been a different story!! ;)

I do believe you missed the first flag at Centrals Chrissy. But played in the other two.

Opening the bowling with him was a bundle of joy, you'd have to start into the breeze and then switch ends after he got hit for a boundary and blamed an injury.
