Now i dont want to stir up trouble...but ive heard a very strong rumour that the person that waz absent from batting against the Bays on Saturday is taking his bat and ball...and some players and setting up camp at Myponga.

Two of the players mentioned are from a totally different club ..the young guns from the Vale!!!! To get Myponga back and running...and of course so a certain someone can be "The Man"!!!! [-X

Words of Wisdom.. comments please, as well as everyone else!!?? No problem with pongy back in the A grade but hows the style of the guy!!!

Wouldnt be in my side for the last game if i waz the Captain of Rapid Bay!!!! Just saying!!

Personally as always looking forward to the Bays on the turf, bring it on!!!!!!! :P

Stay solid fans!!!!

Tony, you don't what to stir up any trouble, BUT...... you'll post it on here so everyone knows about it!!

I think by continually bringing up these rumours and "he said, she said" stuff, we are helping to perpetuate the issues which dog the league...

chill out offcutter
maybe some pills to ease the Grumpiness would be good!!! 8) 8)

Doubt the 2 young vale guys would leave, not even are remotely interested. Chambers is very happy in his new home and Altus has aspirations to play maybe on turf next year.

Should be a ripper on turf this week Tony!!!!!

A few unhappy campers at the Vale possibly? I know Aldinga are confident in securing the services of Chambers next season.

In other headlines, after reading the GSCA wrap I saw that Goolwa only batted with 10 men, P Elliot dnb? This isn't a result from the dust up after Easty's big ton last week is it? Goolwa are in dire need of some leadership if this is the case.

Good win by willunga over aldinga on the weekend looks like top 4 is set.
Bays hot favorites but should be entertaining finals series with a few twists.

Bays hot favourites but have had the best side on paper for a number of seasons now... Couldn't see the young McLaren boys leaving, they are definitely building a very competitive side!

Would love to see us have an A grade again but with half the B grade closer to retirement than not, I can't see it happening. As for any new players or players returning I haven't heard a thing. Be good to see the Altus combo return back to where they should be! ;)

Bit quiet on here this week.. few big games still this week..

Blockbuster on the turf between the red hot premiership favourites Encounter Bay and Mt Compass. Encounter Bay look too strong at home and will be very tough to beat.

McLaren Vs Aldinga should also be a close game (Much closer than the McLaren boys might think).. Aldinga are definitely on the up as a club and will be looking to finish their season with a win. Rosa by far the form batsman of the comp post xmas and will be the key for Aldinga. If they can restrict Bryce as well then it will go a long way for McLaren.

Willunga Vs Pt Elliot should be another close match. Pt Elliot are a very dangerous side, with the likes of Donaldson able to tear sides apart. We will need to build on the momentum from last weeks win and ensure the 6 pts again.

Rapid Bay Vs Goolwa also has the potential to do dangerous things, especially if Pt Elliot beat Willunga. Rapid Bay still mathematically in the hunt and with the wheels well and truly off at Goolwa and outright is never out of the question. Trapas will no doubt be firing on all cylinders and with big Spranon in good run making form it bodes well for Rapid Bay.

Good thoughts there Jimmy.

I think the real interest is in the Willunga v Pt Elliot game, and Rapids and Goolwa. No doubt Rapids would be keen for maximum points, and surely their percentage would receive a great boost should that happen. Rumour is no Trappers. If they have the internet down there, surely some Rapids boys could confirm / deny?

Leaves the Willunga boys still at risk, and I know first hand, the Port Elliot lads are well and truly fired up to take the chocolates at Willunga.

The other 2 games more about pride. Trust me, the Districts boys won't take anything for granted, particularly with a couple of key outs.

what the hell happened at rapid bay on saturday? must be something in the water over at goolwa. day and kuss both making hundreds with the bat and trapolino nearly making one with the ball with 0/93 from 17. great effort from the apparent no. 1 bowler in the comp :prayer: :prayer: =D> hahahaha at least he rocked up this week. unit!

willunga staring down the barrel of a loss to pt elliot the week before finals, not a great way to begin the campaign for 3 in a row.

mclaren look comfortable over at aldinga with altus in the runs again. he and curtis have been chalking up some good numbers this year at the top of the order for the crushers.

and encounter bay got out of jail against mt compass with lintern and butler doing some CPR on the scoreboard. with num, nash and cox still to come they will need to score heavily to avoid a 'NEGZ' finish to the end of the minor round.

Heard late Saturday night back at our club that McLaren Districts are up to their old tricks again. Every year without fail something out of the ordinary seems to happen come the final round of the year. Very disappointing if true, with McLaren Districts blatantly breaching the rules, Mt Compass B Grade absolutely fuming.

Would be good to get some more info there HD. I know the A's had 3 of their top 7 bats out on Saturday, and the usual replacements they would have taken (Marston to name just one) was unavailable.. managed to get scrounge up a team at the last minute, so maybe you are referring to the aftermath in the lower grades?

Fairly pointed attack suggesting McLaren are involved in some sort of shenanigans in the last game every year.. you would want to be able to provide some clear examples I would have thought..

I presume Hugh is referring to our game vs McLaren in the B grade on sat. As far as I'm aware the McLaren captain approached Milf (our B Grade Captain) about them having 4 replacement players for the 2nd week of this game. Milf agreed as he was just trying to do the right thing by McLaren but this is obviously a breach of the rules as it states only 2 replacements per match. Whatever the reasons behind Mclaren needing 4 replacements the general committee agreed this is a fairly serious breach by McLaren, as discussed in Monday nights GSCA General Committee meeting. I'm not sure why McLaren needed 4 replacements if they were able to field their lower sides but the association is well aware and is dealing with the matter.

all seems a bit feeble to me
i mean a serious breach would be something like putting mike hussey in the mclaren top order for a game.
although the captain/s in b grade however many they have had this year should have known the rules.
Anyway back onto cricket

I would be worrying about trying to get over the line this week Jimmy Ricard, the question is have the wheels completely come off the wagon down there???? I would say a miracle would be needed for a 3 peat this year. But cricket is a funny game!!!!!!!

cricket is a very funny game wiw24, you only need to have an off day and anyone can beat anyone mate. the season thus far means nothing, its about producing in the finals when the pressures on. im sure willunga are an example of that the last couple of years probably not the best team but all fell into place on the day. bays the team to beat imo
