The process that was used was certainly baffling and I think definitely contributed towards the reaction, a reaction that im sure would have been handled better if he had his time again. Everyone would have rathered the umpires take a few minutes to sum up the situation, talk it through and then make a decision. That decision should then stand and players should be warned if they disagree and carry on.

Sounded like the batter middled on to his pad.
How'd the umpire not hear that.
But hey everyone makes mistakes and the Umpires don't need that sort of carry on.

Grange finish 5th in A1, just one point out of the 4, having lost several points from the Sayers incident.

That is Karma, how elite. Would not be too many people around the place that would not be over the moon with that result.

Hopefully the club now sacks Sayers as captain and show some balls

So ingle farm have snuck into the four on the back of 5 wins in there last 6 games with one being outright. Snuck in by a point over Grange pending the appeal. If this appeal gets over turned in anyway and the points Grange have been deducted get reinstated are part there will f for a terrible incident will be a disgrace and shows that the big clubs get favourable decisions. Happened a couple of years ago when a grange player was reported by umpires in another terrible incident only to appeal with certain allegation against the opposition which were believed at the tribunal but these allegations were false. Points reinstated. Pretty sure it cost ingle farm finals. Tribunal hearing I’ve been told is set for Friday. That’s a joke in its self, ingle farm preparing to play and could possible have there season ended pending appeal.
Ingle farm lost 2 points in the debacle against Port districts and had a player suspended . No report for umpire in this game nuts report lodged by Port districts . Those 2 points could have seen ingle farm displace goodwood .
Standard of umpiring and knowing bylaws and player behaviour quite possibly at an all time low in atca

I am curious, how many times can you appeal a decision, friday isn't ideal for either raise trying to prepare is it, I'd of thought if the points could be overturned the league wouldn't of already applied them on the ladder ?

Outside of that Ingle Farm certainly have flown home strong, where it seems Goodwood have some injury concerns, Gleadall not bowling etc.

Interesting end to the season.

Technically Grange could also finish 4th, if they get some, but not all, of their points back, meaning they might also be Para Hill's opponent.

I can't see them getting anything back, but hey, stranger things have happened before!

very reminiscent of Golden Grove and Iggs a few years back. we had no idea who we were playing in the GF until the night before

ATCA surely can not back down here though, you have a side thinking they have scraped in and then to potentially take it away would be brutal

I think Pooraka's As and Bs are both hosting so they didn't have a third oval for their D's to also host.
Not sure what the go is with the change from Woody South to Flinders Uni though...

I did notice that it has been changed to Flinders Uni, looks like Woodville South lost 5 points for some reason
