I presume Sayers and Carey will come in for Glenelg and Richardson and Ferguson for West Torrens? Those ins probably cancel each other out. I wonder if Glenelg will bat first again if they win the toss?

Redbacks fly to Sydney on Sunday for their Shield Game against NSW on Tuesday.

Did hear rumour that Carey and Ferguson may play and fly out bit later, but not sure on that one.

Rather none of them played, maybe West Torrens be slight favourites then, but in 20/20 anything can happen, one player can dominate and win the game on their own.

West Torrens, Kensington and Port all sew up a finals berth after today.

Glenelg in the box seat to join them if they beat Adelaide next week.

Tea Tree Gully look likely to just miss out. Need to beat Prospect and hope Glenelg lose.

No, Glenelg in 4th 25 pts above Adelaide.

Adelaide needed to beat Northerns outright today to have any hope. They managed to do that.

So they now need to beat Glenelg, then hope bottom team Prospect beat TTG away to claim 4th spot.

Therefore although unlikely, it definitely is possible.

Ah, sorry, I didn't realise they won outright. Still a chance then!

Im sure it would have been difficult at those 3 clubs all year to keep players focused with this hanging over their heads. Players not knowing if this is their last season, last training night, or last game. Off field resources I am sure would also have been stretched to breaking point at those 3 clubs, as they focused all their energies on the presentations to the SACA and just keeping their clubs going into next season. Hardly a good environment to play cricket, I wouldn't have thought for any of those 3 clubs. Blame the cretins at the SACA for letting the name of the 3 clubs out mid season.

Oh, how the wheels have turned in 12 months!!! Well done to the mighty Eags on their second premiership in a week!! Well done to all the boys, from President Rocca and Chairman Jonesy right down through the club, for hanging in there when the easy thing to do would have been to leave a club that had had a potential 'death sentence' given to it. Success was never more deserved nor did it ever taste sweeter!!
Cheers

Pretty sure never been done before.

Players have even more determination now to be the first Club to do it.

With everything that happened last year and finishing with the wooden spoon, would be one of the biggest achievements in Grade Cricket history just about.

Just noticed something amazing in Northern's performance though: Cossie made a century in both innings, including 100n.o. in their second innings total of 120!
Cheers

WT certainly know how to win the big games!, with the form of some of their batters they would be full of confidence if they get to the big dance.

100 runs out of a team total of 120 is unheard of!

Gets tough at this time of the season for clubs with no teams in finals, coach moving on - difficult to keep fighting the good fight. You can run into teams at pretty low ebbs.

Next top score was 10 for that innings and 28 for the first

With up to 10mm of rain forecast for this Saturday, including thunderstorms throughout the morning and afternoon, it is very likely the top four will remain as they are. Disappointing for Tea Tree Gully and Adelaide that their efforts to make the finals may well be thwarted by the weather.
Cheers

What's the minimum number of overs required to constitute a match in a one day game?

With decent covers you'd expect 1st and 2nd Grade to get a game. Scorers will need to brush up on their Duckworth Lewis calculations!
