No bowling restrictions (so 20 overs each for AJ Cooper and AL Cooper for us!)

And it would still be two innings games as well...

Basically the same as a normal two-day game, but with the first innings restricted to 40 overs, rather than 70.

(eg if Team A bats and is rolled in 25 overs, Team B then has 55 overs to make to score, or to use those extra overs to pursue the unlikely outright)

A couple suprises i think one Jaensch in the squad?? What has he done he has played 1 A Grade game in the hills.

Other suprises to miss out Smith from Aldgate and Tonkin from Meadows.

i dont think the selectors from any of the leagues up here have any idea...
i played against tonkin last year when he was at l/creek he is an absolute gun bat, also played in the association team with him last year... he made plenty of runs in those games too... jaensch is very overrated cricketer....

Jaensch shouldnt have made a and eh meyer shield team, but he gave his all, that team was a disgrace that played. Trevor Potts played AND HE PLAYED B GRADE!!!! what a joke, the only half decent cricketers in the a&eh team were Greg Hassold and he only played saturday and luke tonkin! the rest were a joke, curtis perry had only played under 16s and he played. A and EH is a joke, thank god im out of that league

a&eh do struggle fairly hard, juding by the 21s side on display on sunday. the hills delt with them and that was without 2 strike bowlers in jaensch and parfitt. batsmen turned tweaker Dylan "dan cullen" Dunbar proved to be pretty handy with a few offies taking a very cheeky 3 fa.

a&ehca are trying a bit harder with the a grade team this year... the problem is half the players they pick or that are good dont even wanna play association cricket so they play one day and dont rock up the next day.... i dont think the aehca under 21's have won since back in 2001 or 2002 when we had ben warren and nick warren and the tonkin boys all from l/creek, andy duncan from nairne, some good blokes from strath i think we knocked off hills that year :D

I think he has taken a bag of wickets this year for the nairne boys.... I even remember seeing him take 5 for against those hahndorf boys were that jaensch kid comes from.
20 wickets in 5 games isnt a bad start to the year....

After hills smacked a&eh, they have been strengthened by inclusion of Matty Jaensch for Sunday against Great Southern. Will add bowling and batting ability. Could be icing on Hills Figg cake? May be shaping as Torrens Valley v Hills final?

Cheers PP i tried tp stay on 69 posts for as long as i could but i couldnt hold much longer, Hills should win the Figg shield easily me thinks, It will be very cheeky if the Hills boys get up this weekend as they will be fairly seedy on sunday morning, Dylan Dunbar will be leading saturday nights festivities.

I know a cheeky little solution to that SS just dont sleep. Simple really. I did a cheeky all nighter last year for the U21's and it was the best I played all season. No joke cat.

So what are the tips for this saturdays one day games. Not sure who's playing except for the rival match between the gate and bridgy for the gatoraide cup. Both teams in good touch but back aldgate to come home with the points. They just dont seem to have many weaknesses and i suspect Jaensch will get a bit of an ear bashing for being such an arogant b#&!@.

Matty J is gonna cop it from everywhere. Having played against every A Grade team in the Hills, I reckon Aldgate are definately the Number 1 sledging side in the comp. Having said that I reckon the big cat will still make runs though, just because Aldgate are a club full of recycled Mt.Lofty and Stirling players... Whatever Aldgate!!! :x
