Brenton Tomlinson and Alan Brookes are the two best i have seen from ATCO. Both can hit them to all parts a very long way!

Robbie Pahor from Woodville Rechabites. He hit the ball far and a long way consistently, when he was on you could bowl it anywhere to him and it would go a long long long way.

In my one and only premier league game in ATCA 10 years ago was against SPOC when Huntley Armstrong was playing, wasn't a "big" hitter but his 50 ball 100 was special to watch from behind the stumps from a ball striking point of view. Was cover driving a former state 2nd XI bowler for sixes. In other words no slogging just pure cricket shots.

Seen Roger Corby and Ritchie Hutchinson for Myponga put balls into the Main street from Compass oval.

Saw a batsman (cant for the life remember who) put Wal Hutch over the Footy club at Yank when he was quick, i.e 15 years ago. I was standing 18 m back.

By local I took it to mean in SA but having played with and against Vowelsy in Darwin and Alice Springs is the best striker of the ball I've played with or against (inclusive of my post above).

Ken played with Port Adelaide for a couple of seasons when he was with the academy.

Yeah I know that but I never played against him locally(i.e. in SA), so my comprehension of the questions is the best that I've seen live and I never saw Vowelsy play South of Larapinta Dve, Alice Springs....

When Vowlesy was playing District cricket I was a struggling left-hander trapped in a right-handers body in the GSCA... ;)

A few years ago, a guy came to Prospect as a junior from Padtheway in the SE, had an eye like a stinkin fish and could he give the ball a touchup. His name was Gavin Read, went on to play Agrade district then moved back home. Probably still belting it around down there! :)

Ash MacDonald from Kersbrook can SMASH the leather miles - his repeated efforts in the 2009/10 season left alot of bowlers wondering if they could even contemplate running in again for the next ball!!!!

For us the best striker would have to be Terry "Moose" Martin. It is absolutely no fun at all bowling to him in the nets. Lucky for those bowling to him, he smashes us out the nets so far and so often we don't have to bowl to him for more than half a dozen times ;)

Adam Whittaker from Eastern Park could hit a very hard ball as could Peter Weightman also from EPFC.

While Jason Ross from Craigmore could hit the longest ball i have ever seen.

As for power behind his hitting, Brenton Angus from West Torrens certainly could hit a ball.
For stroke play, I cannot go past Jarrad Taylor, another Eagle.
I may be a bit biased but having watched West Torrens batsmen most weeks for 30 years, I do get to see a bit of their hitting *smiles*
