Think it's just the level of hatred that changes.

No wonder they can't get anyone to merge.

This may the most factual thing that has been written on here.

It may have taken 43335 posts but I finally came up with a good one.

Silence on the Save Stingrays page.....

Mind you Adelaide haven't mentioned a thing on social media since the original announcement.

I did notice on that page that SDCC only had one founder?
Surely there was a committee?
Slightly arrogant statement I would've thought.

RESULT OF SPECIAL GENERAL MEETING 29 MARCH 2021
Dear SDCC Members,
Please note the result from the SGM held on 29 March 2021.
The resolution proposed:

Heard 7 Board Members resigned straight away after the vote. Club is falling apart

If true, they had no option but to resign immediately. Their positions on the board of management is untenable.

Hopefully some of those that voted in favour of the motion will now step up to guide them out of this mess. Won't be easy but they have a mandate from the membership to remain as a separate entity.

The yes voters are saying that very thing.
No voters get on the committee and help run the club successfully.
This might have given them the kick in the butt they've needed.
To be told you're expendable by your association is about the biggest boot you could get.
But could be too late for them.
Going to be a very interesting off season.

Hearing whispers some of SDCC 1s already signed for atca clubs for next season. But whispers at this time of the year rarely ring true. Either way cant expect to hold onto the core of your playing group with an offseason as turbulent as what SDCC will go through in the coming months.

Who'd want to be southerns President?
With 7 resignations, who's left to sort out this fiasco?

The week leading up to last nights special meeting, all committee members who were going to vote "yes" to the merger were aware that they would have to resign if the vote didn't get up so it's no surprise to those at the club.
It was the only way for the club to move forward anyway.

They've put up 7 individual thanks/farewell posts to the departing committee members on the SD Facebook page.

No updates to Save Stingrays.

I wonder who the powerbrokers are who spearheaded the no vote? And who will steer the club through the off season?

That was the outgoing treasurers concern.
Who's going to step up and help run the place.

I saw during the week that is grade club Wanneroo won the WA Premier Cricket first grade premiership last weekend, Smith took a ripper at second slip in the match-

He made 1096 runs @54.80 across all formats for the summer.

His team defended 118, won by about six runs I think. We are hopeful he will be back. At age 26 is the perfect age for Shield cricket, Dizzy is a fan. Problem this year was WA did not play any Second X1 games so he did not get an opportunity at the next Level. Think he still has plenty to offer for the Redbacks.
