ron, if you read the post that first mentioned him youd realise that sweetys team mates were telling him to shut up. dont know him personally not sure what he's like outside of sport but him and i always end up in fistiecuffs when playing footy.

That wasn't the only bit of poor form shown by Stirling. A pretty poor display by them both with the bat and with their mouths.

Joelby is in rare form at the moment. And he'll probably be given the cherry at some stage against you lot. Good to see Ginge back in the Cs, hopefully holds his spot for the Mylor game. After the last few weeks of verbals (Gators/Ling) it will be nice to come up against the goats.

well Ginge's Golden duck was offset by his brilliant fielding, how he didnt get in the fielding votes is beyond me...

Well looking forward to heading back to the racetrack this week, after 2 weeks of slogging it out at the slow community oval it will be great to get some reward for shots...The Cooper v Cooper showdown will be a cracker as usual!

Very disappointing to hear both these issues.

When you get skittled for 70, you gotta cop it sweet and get on with it.

I remember being knocked over for 15 against Mylor (what is it about Stirls against Mylor?) in the b's and we took it on the chin.

The way the draw looks Id say Lofty/Gate in 1 semi and Cheating Ranges/Stirling in the other

Stirlings loss hasnt been posted on the website yet, but we know they lost (maybe more to come from the walk off on Saturday? - Forfeit? Fatty you got any info on this?) at best they will be equal with Aldgate on 100 points, lofty 4th on 95 points and Stanley 93...Stanley play Stirling this week and then Stirling have the Gate in the last game...Stirling could lose both and Stanley would take their place

I cant comment on Stirling's strength in the C's as we got "heated out" when we were drawn to play them, so havent seen them...
Sweety is harmless, why is he playing B grade?

Funny story last night how Roger Sweet 20 years ago called Robert Penny a hack etc etc early in his innings only to end up batting all day and finishing 259 out in the last over, still the biggest score in HCA history...
Yes Dutchy saw that innings and several others of Spenda's at that time. He was denting cars in the Coles carpark and they lost heaps of balls in the creek.

Indeed - a few Stirling players suggested to me that the loss didn't matter as they were always going to be playing Aldgate - just a matter of whether they finished 2nd or 3rd.

WRONG!

Take a look at the table:
http://hillsca.cricketvault.com/common/pages/public/rv/ladder.aspx?id=RV_LAD&entityid=3146&mode=0

No further action from us in regards to the walk off - reasonably amicable decision. Don't need to take points off them - if we lose to Goats and/or SCIBs they could be in strife enough.

So as I see it, Stirling's destiny is pretty much in our hands. They could live to regret their extrordinary carry-on on Saturday.
