Heard a rumour that Williamson has departed Meadows and moved to vineyard country in the A&EHCA to continue coaching. Also a few players may be following?

I have heard the same thing Jackpot Jim.
Not sure about the players joining him, but definately signed with a A&EHCA Club.
It would be interesting to hear at what price they paid, as he was on a pretty decent wicket at Meadows (pardon the punt).
From the rumours within the HCA it would appear that there would be some clubs disappointed in not securing his services.

Are there any confirmed or otherwise transfers yet in the HCA for the up coming season?

Rampaging Bull, i very much doubt that he was on a lot at meadows as a few of his mate played there. More along the lines of covering his travel i would have thought, probably the same with the club he has gone to if he has gone that is????. If he has gone to that association it will be very interesting to see if the A&EHCA approach him to coach them in the Meyer Shield, they could have a very strong team with the inclusions of Woodside and Lobethal.

Would have to agree, dont think he would of been on alot of coin at Meadows, would imagin he has a strong relationshsip with the club and would be/have been there for that reason. Is it ashborne he is romoured to have signed with? I know he has a conection there, would be a big boost to their hopes of developing a strong A grade.

I have on very good authority that he has moved inbetween the Sellicks and Cape Jervis region without going into too much detail.
Im sure it will be announced by the club in question very soon if the rumour is true.

Anyway, no one can deny he had a presence around Meadows which combined with their talent contributed to their success.

Good luck to him and his new club I say.

Moving on, have any HCA clubs recruited over the winter?
It will be interesting to hear if Stirling stay in the A grade comp and if Mylor move up.
I know this is thrown around every year but maybe after years dominating B Grade Mylor might take the big step.

Thoughts?

Who are we talking about leaving from Meadows? Guns or fringe players?

Would make for a more interesting comp. if Meadows come back to the pack a little IMO.

Why should Meadows come back to the pack a little? Shouldn't the other clubs step up and make the comp more interesting?

I didn't say they should. Either way it would make the comp a little more interesting.

Paracombe CC commence pre season training tonight. Geoff Smith (overseas) and Aaron McArdle (Tea Tree Gully) return to the club. Sad to see Lobethal and Woodside go, always looked forward to those games. I think the TVCA have a meeting end of this month that will confirm the clubs competing in the A grade comp which should number around 8 which is good to see.

Yes JJ Big signing - Tarque will be coaching Langhorne's creek this season with Luke Tonkin and Todd Dellatore returning with him.

Shaun Golding returning from Imps and Ben Warren available full time which will almost start them flag favourites with the bookies!!

Any time you get rolled for 46 and defend it suggests the pitch aint playing the greatest...

Very well answered Trader.
The facts speak for themselves, The pitches at Strath certainly makes life difficult for the batsmen.
As for Perry, well he was a Bowler in his day, and one of the Greatest of all time but the quality of the pitch is probably a reflection of the equipment hes got to work with.
A broken down roller & and a Blunt mower = bowler friendly pitches. ;)
