Are dual regos still a thing with Premier Clubs? Sure there are plenty of 4th grade teams that could use an extra player.

In a common sense world surely he could get something in writing from his current club that he says he wasn't selected this weekend despite being available which would then enable him to get a game elsewhere.

It's no good for anyone and I'm not sure cricket across the nation is in a position to have blokes who want a game not being able to get one.

I actually think a grade club would be your best bet, would be some clubs scratching to fill their 4th Grade.
BLCA doesnt have a cut off but it is semi final weekend so cant play there

Congratulations to Plympton Footballers Cricket Club who celebrated their 60th anniversary. Was a great day catching up with some past teammates and sharing some great stories.

Yep, just saw the updated forecast.
37 on Sunday too (38 Monday). If Sunday goes to 38, junior grand finals get cancelled too.

Keswick win 4 games out of 14 and play finals. Never seen anything like it.

Happy Valley win Section 3 and good riddance I say as I've been holding onto this all season- absolute f**king joke that Western Youth drop two sections, finish second and play in a grand final. The Sutton Darby debacle is all your fault!

North Haven win section 2 in an absolutely cracking game.

Chasing 176, went from 1/102 to 9/134, before a gutsy 10th wicket stand got them home.

Our Morphy Park lads gave their all, but fell short (again). Shattered.

The club asked the association to be taken from section 1, they didn't ask to be put in 3, that was the ASCA's call.

Ask your delegate to find out why.

Let's get a few things straight here.

Clubs in the association are more annoyed by the reason WYC asked to go down. Losing players. That's not a reason to take the easy option.
Relegation and promotion has worked well for teams for years. Club's have good times and have bad times.

ICC winning section 3, then threatened to take their club elsewhere if they couldn't go down to section 4 is another joke. Made the gf, with results still not up.

Happy Valley, 2 years ago sooked it up the same. Lost players, want to go down. Finished top in all 3 grades, won 2 gfs.

FWIW, Morphettville Park A grade lost 4 players from last season's gf team. Opening batsman, numbers 3 & 4, plus Opening bowler. Got on with the job, promoted our kids, made another gf (and lost again).
Maybe we'll lose another 1-3 players, but we'll jump back on the horse, and have another crack.

Losing players is NOT a reason to ask for favours. Tough it out.

Good for you that you have a junior program to draw from.

With generational change at the Youth Centre there had been no juniors for some years as some tireless workers took a break from the heavy work load. With new leaders running the club the junior program is back up and running and will one day again bare fruit, we hope.

With the loss of players in the top grade and no junior program to draw upon the club decided for the best long term future it would be best to step out of section 1 and build back up to one day be competitive and, for those kicking the club, have a sustainable future so you lot have someone to play against.

Enjoyable night at the 125th dinner on Wednesday evening.

The Morphy Park table was a bit rambunctious, but we had some goid laughs.

We may not have won any premierships, but our A, C & D grades won the "spirit of cricket" awards, and our E grade were 2nd by .2 of a point.
We may not be very good, but at least we try to play in the right way.

Congrats to all teams, award winners and Russ Curyer on another section 1 medal.

I didnt see a Sutton Derby table, but i could be wrong.

The only dampner was hearing about our club legend Jonh (Jack) Voyzey. We hpoe you get better old mate.
