With the 2015 Meyer Shield less than a week away, I thought it would be worth setting up a designated thread for squad announcements, match results and other news.

Sounds pretty decent. I can't believe I hadn't heard of the Meyer Shield before.

Was lucky enough to play last year for the first time, it's a great weekend. Unfortunately my form left me miles off selection this year

Different set up this year with the demise of SCA and the removal of Invitation side. Seems a little messy with just 6 teams now.

TVCA with a tough first round encounter against HCA. Majority of the team made up of Gumeracha and Paracombe guys with a sprinkling from 3 other clubs. Good to see the Pirates putting their hands up after not contributing the past few seasons. Probably the most notable absence is Rathjen from Palmer.

This year the Meyer Shield is being played on Kangaroo Island. Carnival starts on Saturday with the following matches scheduled for the opening round.
Kangaroo Island vs A&EHCA @ Parndana
Hills vs Torrens Valley @ Kingscote
Great Southern vs Murray Towns @ Wisanger
The program for the Sunday's matches will be determined based on Saturday's results and then the two best performing teams play off in the final at Kingscote on the Monday.

Has the HCA side been announced yet?
Be interesting whos made it this year, as they have always been quite strong with numbers at training.

Very decent recovery, but it seems as though they couldn't quite get out jail twice over the weekend.
