I always keep a pack of Voltaren Rapid handy during football season to help reduce inflammation.

After 72 hours give the area hot/cold treatment. Begin strength exercises pertinent to the area. Monitor for pain. Hit the exercise bike. If you decide you think you can run, do it only in straight lines to begin with.

See a physio, once for diagnosis and time frame and one more for a follow up when you think you're ready to play again.
yeah i did the ricer rotine for the proper amount of time, today was a bit better im still restricted to walking and still burning a bit. But whats burning me even more is FCs torrent of abuse last night! Still with no apology???? :goodman:

There was no torrent of abuse you bloody sook... It just shits me to tears when blokes refuse to do the right thing..

Have you had it checked out yet? Burning means for the best part that it's still bleeding, so guess what? You're still icing! No cream until the burning stops, cream will increase bleeding.

Birthday buddy or not, do the wrong thing and be the subject of my wrath..

Ok, I'll say sorry but only because you're my birthday buddy... don't tell anyone though..
