Where are you going this year?

I can't reveal mine - as it's a secret...

We're off to Mildura this year. The club used to go there annually but have been to Melbourne and the Gold Coast and some bigger places in the last few years. This year we lost a few of the regulars and there's a pretty big bunch of young guys who have apprenticeships or are studying coming through, so the finances aren't massive. A couple of the older blokes have been before said it's a good trip to Mildura, with a stop at the Renmark Hotel for lunch on the way up, and with 30 blokes going this year we're hoping it's gonna be a fair trip.

This is my first senior footy trip though, so I'm just hoping to survive.

ah ha ha. My first footy trip was to Mildura.
Was there again two years ago too.
Always good fun, and have plenty of good memories of going there.
I'll warn all the Renmark people about the Magpies coming into town!

Pag, you'll get through, as long as you go slow and steady. Don't drink faster than you can handle!

The Raggies are off to Melbourne this year. Last year we went to Mildura. It was a great trip. Spent plenty of time at the Irish Pub (O'Malleys?) and the Sand Bar. I'm sure you will too Pag. Oh, and the Workingmans Club.

I was always told by a former coach: Drink as fast you can, as much as you can and for as long as you can, BUT pace yourself.
No one could remember exactly how that went so we had it printed on our polo shirts for the footy trip the following year.

Our mob are going to the Cox Plate this year, I'm to old for that sort of thing now so I am going for a four day golf weekend down at Lincoln, FORE!.

You'll be yelling that plenty of times to Supa.

Mildura's a great joint for a trip and I'd recommend the Sand Bar day and night. Great place.

If anyone's still looking for a place to trip - The Hand Picked music festival is on Saturday, October 14. A great weekend of sun and music!
