In the article the president of the RMFL is worried that players would have to travel to Mt Gambier to train, surely the South East zone would move their trainings to a central location?

Also, I wasn't aware that the Western Border league was involved in the SA champs as I know that they play in the Victorian Country Carnivals. Does anybody know how many players from the WBFL represented S.E. zone last year?

Floataboy we will take up a competitive side, im not sure how it will go against the other zones. They are always good contests and the quality of our side is still a little unknown.

Guys available for selection look to be quality players, with some familiar faces and some new ones also. The side will be picked Wednesday night after our final training session. I hope we will be around the mark but its too hard to tell. I know that we are very excited and the chance to play state footy is a big carrot to dangle in front of any footballer and i believe all zones will be stronger than usual due to the fact there is a side going away in late July to the Nationals.

GSFL have the bye, as do Hills Country.

The side shapes up well in my opinion. How we go is hard to say as you cant really gauge how the other zones are going to perform.

Will be a quikc running side complimented by 6-7 tall kep position players. Josh Vick captain.

How serious is this being taken when only 2 sfl teams have been represented in the squad. surely this is a joke or did noone want to play? All of the players in the squad can certainly play footy but how many of them are in the top 21 players in the SFL?

Just a question? Thoughts?

Not sure about other leagues but believe it is the same with Willunga one of the only GSFL teams being represented. (could be wrong tho.)

To be fair how many others players was even asked to be part of it. I asked the question about Tedmaqnson because i know he was not asked and did not even know it was on. Usually Happy Valley guys are keen along witnh a couple of Brighton boys
so please dont knock the clubs about being serious if the clubs have not even been asked.

I could be wrong but isn't there a rule saying that at least 6 need to be under 21?

Bennetts and N. Bayly would fall into this category but would probably deserve to be there in there own right anyway, as they are having great seasons to date.

Sorry Obs, I must have worded it wrong. wasnt having a go at other clubs. was moreso having a go at the concept. I think we are both thinking the same thing.

I was just trying to say I wonder how we go in the comp itself if we arent putting the absolute best out there from our comp.
(not knocking the blokes selected either just putting a thought out there for discussion)
