Check out what LTTF has to say on the div 3 thread Navy. I would guess that that amount rises up to about $10-12K in the higher divs.

Eastern Park coach $7000 asking price would be about the average for a div 3 coach? or would the $4000 be closer to the mark Thats very interesting thanks for the heads up Andy.

Like any coach is going to reveal what they are getting?? why not ask people what the get paid for their job???

Even better why not apply for a coaching job and see what it pays??

I am a coach actually but I'm up in QLD I'm wondering what coaches are getting down south. Coaching up here not all that lucrative only worth a couple thousand a season plus petrol money. By the way I don't work for the ATO but I am a Military Police Officer is that any better.

Nah just HMAS Coonawarra, HMAS Canberra and HMAS Stirling. Both Rugby Union and Aussie rules, more for the fun and beers.
Our worst defeat was against XMAS Island back in 99 when on HMAS Canberra. They had been training 3 months in anticipation and we did as always had a big night first night in, most blokes were still drunk the next day when played. Funny thing about the Navy and getting drunk first night after 2 weeks at sea.

Donald Dickie at flagstaff was gettin 20k from there major sponsor and president who owns charlesworth nuts, wayne stringer from kangarilla on 10k but whi ever he recruits comes from his salary so sees next to nothing, which is true since he is a major sponsor from brock real estate. Also his brother alan was offer 20k to take over morphett vale last year for this season, a few of the morphett vale boys would remember being at a few of there games last year because of this reason!

Wow thats interesting have to ask though why was Morphett Vale interested in another coach they are going for 5 flags on the trot? Very strange!

more money around the SFL than I would have thought very interesting. Thought the BIG COIN would have been more in the country areas.

I heard the change at morphett vale was to give them a new challenge to keep them going. this year theres a bit of coin being thrown around at a few players in the sfl, alot of them ex west adelaide juniors, talbot, dean, stevens captain at flaggies although was a junior did get offered to go to myponga 4 a bit of coin.

I'd give you source a look at gks. Why would a club that has just won 4 flags in a row offer 20k? And even more surprising why would anyone turn down 20k to coach that side. Stringer was asked to attend Emu games to give an impartial view of where Morphies had any weaknesses. He was asked by the current coach and all players were told of the plan beforehand.

I don't think any club in the SFL would be paying anywhere near 20k, maybe Ando, but that's only when he gets his Finals bonus, so Cove know they're pretty safe not having to pay him there!

Gks 5 I think you'll find that the Donald Dickie payment was way off the mark and was spoken about a page back or so. Not sure where you get your sources from but as ZC said, you are way off the mark. Who in their right mind wouldnt accept 20k to coach are side that are almost guaranteed to win a fifth flag? Im sure most coaches would coach that side for $0.

Now go back to that excuse for a club that gets belted in the SFL so decides to head to an inferior competition just so you can win a few games and tell everyone how good you are!
