thats his choice there fish, no one is forcing him to believe it or not, unlike yourself. It seems with your comments that anyone who doesnt believe that the earth is warming, and that we have to impose a carbon tax is an outsider.....

and for the record, i do believe the earth is warming (whether or not its due to humans ) as i have said it on numerous times, yet I DO NOT believe we should impose another tax.....

Like most right-wingers Southee you're confused about the difference between fact and opinion.

OK I googled "global temperature record" and came up with this, which clearly shows the earth is warming. Your inability to provide any evidence that the earth is not warming is a bit suspicious.

i agree with you fish, yes the charts show the earth is warming.

but please provide a chart on the climate 160 million years ago?
Please provide a chart, from 100 million years ago
Please provide a chart of 500,000 years ago

thats my point, agree with it or not, to me - This could be a once in a 160 million year event, or 100 million year event, or a 500,000 year event (the earth going through a period of warming more then normal ) .

we just dont know, and NO one can say, oh it didnt do this then, or it did.
But yes, if it isnt or hasnt done this before and it is humans doing this, then if we dont do something then we are to blame. But i dont see how another tax can stop it in its tracks???
there are other ways then pulling money out of our pockets from suits in canberra.....

Fish I have asked you before about this graph I think. Does it allude to the earth warming 0.5 degrees in 120 years?

What that same graph you have trotted out so many times before!
The one that only counts temperatures since the end of the Little Ice Age in the late 19th century
Of course temperatures have been rising since then.

Please allow me to offer perspective again:

he wont respond to this Sky, as he knows this is a valid point i am making. Most of the carbon tax lovers and the believers of humans causing the warming of the globe simply dont have a response to this statment. But if.....IF it is humnas, then why not start this reducing carbon now thing. Because if it is we will be in trouble in the future if we dont

I welcome him/them/they to respond with a valid statement on its not a 160 million year, or 100 million year event (period of warming more then normal) but still waiting.

And staring at rocks in the ground does not prove the earth has not seen this before....

I'd stop trotting out that Harris/Mann graph, Psyber. Neither are climatologists or meteorologists and it shows. The graph doesn't even have units on the y-axis and it completely leaves out the normal varations that should be seen in temperature charts.

Here is the correct 2000 year comparison:
