This shitty Abbott government has created history:

Bill Shorten has made the strongest debut of any opposition leader since Kevin Rudd in 2006-07, propelling Labor into the lead over a government weighed down by its secretive asylum-seeker response and an unconvincing commitment to action on global warming.

The first Fairfax Nielsen poll since the September 7 election has charted a rapid recovery for the ALP, with the opposition shooting to a 52-48 per cent lead over the government on the preferences of respondents - the quickest poll lead achieved by any federal opposition after losing an election.

I have previously suggested Turnbull will lead the coalition into the next election ... I don't see any reason to change the prediction.

Perhaps Scott Morrison May step up as PM. When he's away overseas they can get Marcel Marceau to fill in.

But seriously I cannot see Abbott replaced at this current time. I'm guessing its a rumour started by ALP supporters.

The Nats are the ones often seen with a piece of straw hanging out of their mouths, Truss & Bananaby are the two most prominent ones.

Should this thread be renamed to Whiner Watch?
It seems to be dominated, currently, by people who can't get their heads around the ALP/Green axis having already lost the election, and who are looking for anything they can to carry on campaigning about.

I'm not entirely sure I'm going to like all the decisions that may come out of the review of our current financial mess, but I think a review is needed, and provisions need to be made to keep things running while that happens. I'm prepared to wait and see what proposals come forward before I start any campaigns about what may or should happen.

I would support scrapping Abbott's parental leave scheme, which I always though was over the top.

It's a bit of deja vu really. Perhaps they should start calling for another election to fully mimic the last three years.
