I just had a check on my tips to see the results from round .
I got 4 out of 4, so it gave my tip for the South v Sturt game (even though I didn't tip the draw) as correct.
I went to the table to see where I was ranked. I was 59 points out with the points margin for the selected game.
I had to scroll 26 pages before finding my name (Thunder Fart) about half way down. Ranked 1,259th out of about 7,000 tipsters spanning 151 pages.
Unbelievable! I didn't realise that many people followed the SANFL on the internet. I was also expecting to find only SaFooty users on the table, but it looks as though it has pooled us with everybody on the net tipping SANFL. Last time I remember being a couple of hundred of us, now it is several thousand.
I saw a couple of names I recognised on my way to page 26th, Kahuna, ZipZap, Chris Kendall and a few others.
I wonder if I need to do something to see only the SAFooty tipsters, or am I stuck in this huge pool of tipsters?
Could it possibly be that over 7,000 people have joined up from SAFooty?

I'm in and well down the ladder as you might expect an SA expat in the Swich. As long as I don't tip the Legs I'm due at lest one a week!

I'd just like to point out that, for reasons too long and boring to go into unless you really want to know, 'Mark Duffett' is in fact me.

I'd also like to point out that I appear to have topped the comp (for the first time all season) as of the end of the minor round

I had a shocker on the weekend only getting 1 blowing a 2 point lead from memory.

Thanks Dutchy and to anyone else who had a hand in organising it. The prize is certainly very much appreciated A good thing for me that the comp scoring didn't continue through the finals after all, as the tips I entered wouldn't have advanced my overall score very much

Just as a matter of interest, this wasn't the only online SANFL tipping comp to pop up this year. At the eleventh hour, http://www.toptipping.com also started a SANFL comp for the 2010 season - unfortunately too late to promote it and get a decent number of participants; I only discovered it by accident. It's a nice site for those who like the option for slightly more sophisticated tipping (margins for each game etc), and I can vouch from personal experience that they do come good with their prizes (in the form of online sport betting vouchers) if you do well enough. I recommend it to all SAFooty-ers if they run it again in 2011.

We will get this going again for 2011 very shortly
