Lyrup midfielder and ex-WWT Eagle Sam Mitchell traning at Loxton (twice this week) despite interest from Barmera.

Looking good too. He will cut up the opposition if he gives it his all.

Samuel Oken is a mate of Craig Johns, so only about 17 or 18.

They go to college together and are driving back to EM on weekends.

Craig was telling me a couple of weeks ago there'd be some boys travelling.

I was a little 'under the weather' but I'm pretty certain I remember him telling me East Murray were going to kick our arse this year. Ahhh the confidence of youth. lol.
They might too - but far out, I wouldn't be walking around saying that sort of thing.

From my experience with EM, if they've got nothing you wont hear from them.

If they are looking good they will tell everybody.

I'll take heed of that advice.

Lyrup rumoured to have lost 19 players.

And no Lawrences playing at Wunkar this year?
So I've heard. Hope it's not the case. A couple of nice blokes.

Dogwatcher, hows Loxton looking this year? Have they been able to find replacement for all their losses or is Krueger going to mainly concentrate on their juniors this season?

Not sure GWW - there are a few more losses to come yet one suspects.
He's going to have to focus on the juniors at this stage.
Rumoured some Souths boys visited - but found the drive too long.
I'm sure Loxton will find some other recruits though and will be strong.

I did hear Big Red had pulled the pin. He has had some nasty injuries in the last two seasons which has affected his work (Truckie), so I guess something had to give.

Brother Josh has been nowhere near as reliable and I would say they wont know if they've still got him until the first game. Considering at 16 he was CHB for Karoonda A's, has been a waste of talent.

Dont know the third brother so cannot comment there.

These losses will be alleviated by the announcement of 4 major signings within the next fortnight.

Andrew Graetz is also making a comeback with Wunkar this year and was one of 16 at the first training last week, sorry 16 plus Rudi.

Four major signings eh? No clues.....

I remember the words earlier in this thread "you're among friends here".

As for Big Red - last year he had that kidney issue, and I can relate to how serious that is.

Josh - is a good player on his day, you're very right. Didn't realise he'd played at Karoonda.

Andrew Graetz will be a handy pick-up. Was a good full back as a kid. He's (apparently) already told people he's planning on running through his Uncle Tom.

Fancy being caught between Tom and Andrew at full speed.

All 4 signings would be in Wunkar's top 5. I am surprised nothing has got out over there as it will be big news. I could spill my guts straight away but then 'Todd Griffin' hasn't been mentioned in any of your posts.

Mark McConnell cleared back to EM, sounding more like a busload coming back from town each week.

Hmmm Todd Griffen.
A kid with pace.

I figured there might be a bit of an Evans, Smith connection possibly.
Who else, I wouldn't know....

Competition looking a lot more even again this year by the sounds.

You're enjoying this aren't you Supa? ;)

I don't reckon Cobby are gonna know what hit em this season. There's gonna be a few teams after them and with some fire power to respond.

3 hours and 33 minutes that took you, did you actually get any work done this afternoon.

Yes as I heard it: 2 X Hucks and 2 X Smith

but only Tim has signed up at this stage and others were training this week.

I dont know Marcus Eldridge so cannot comment, fair go I am 600km away.
