Anyone know how Anton Geradis and Jacob Selfe are going over on the peninsula? Both were at GAZA last year, keen to hear if the form has been any good?

FINAL LADDER

P Pts Perc
Kadina 16 28 67.70
Paskeville 16 24 63.59
CY Cougars 16 23 64.33
Bute 16 23 54.86
Southern Eagles 16 16 51.04
CMS Crows 16 12 49.21
Moonta 16 12 45.38
Ardrossan 16 4 30.95
Wallaroo 16 2 29.30

1st week of finals this week with kadina being top they get a rest.

August 25th 2007 Qualifying Final
Ardrossan Oval Paskeville (2) v Central Yorke Cougars (3)

August 26th 2007 Elimination Final
Moonta Oval Bute (4) v Southern Eagles (5)

After last weeks results these games could go either way with any one of these five capable of being the premiers. But my tip is still with paskeville and kadina fighting it out in a couple weeks.

Kadina 16 28 67.70
Paskeville 16 24 63.59
CY Cougars 16 23 64.33
Bute 16 23 54.86
Southern Eagles 16 16 51.04
CMS Crows 16 12 49.21
Moonta 16 12 45.38
Ardrossan 16 4 30.95
Wallaroo 16 2 29.30

You know RB, the hardest part about being on the bottom of the ladder at the end of the minor round is how close we where to actually handing Ardrossan the wooden spoon. We went down to them by 2 points at Ardrossan a few weeks back. Win that game and it probably puts us pretty damn close to getting off them bottom.

That being said it was a terrific team effort to beat Moonta last weekend. I think you hit the nail on the head earlier in the week when you said 'we' had been playing good footy, just not 4 quarters worth. Last Saturday we probably played a full 4 quarters of very solid footy, and managed to come out with a win, which was a great way to finish a challenging season.

Anyone know how Anton Geradis and Jacob Selfe are going over on the peninsula? Both were at GAZA last year, keen to hear if the form has been any good?

Gerardis was doing fairly well for Ardrossan earlier in the season. The first time we played the Roos he kicked 7 or 8 goals and looked very handy, unfortunately he missed a major part of the second half of the season with a fairly bad knee injury. Jacob Self has been regularly in the best players for the Eagles.

How has Brad Coles from SYP Eagles been going this season?

Coles has been another very handy pickup for the Southern Eagles this year. When we played them earlier in the season he actually spent most of his time at full forward from memory, where his SANFL experience certainly helped him, exploit our small defence.

BTW Congratulations to Ben Gunning on his Mail Medal win, reckon he surprised a few with how well he polled, beating bigger names like Clements, Westbrook and Vassall.

with that win wally you nearly went up a spot on ladder and you actually helped us leap frog moonta to finish sixth. Amazing how one win changes it all.
congrats to gunning for mail medal. i stood him the second time we played cougars and got well and truly beaten til he moved elsewhere before half time, least now i can say i got beaten by the mail medalist.
well wally hopefully we can both start next year how we finished this year.
be interesting to see how the first week of finals go, after last week its going to be tight.

September 1st 2007 Second Semi Final
Wallaroo Oval Kadina v CY Cougars

September 2nd 2007 First Semi Final
Yorketown Oval Paskeville v Bute

very interesting week this one with any one of these four capable of winning these games.
cougars coming off a good win last week could beat the top of the table kadina to go through to the grandy, but if kadina have there full side on the ground they are my tip by 4 goal.
paskeville have hit a hole the last few weeks but i tip them to come good this week to win by 7 goal.

we are last years premiers but we started the year with 12 of that side out.
first half of year we were shit and had a lot of injuries. second half we came together and pushed the top sides and we didnt lose a game by anymore than bout 5 goals. came home strong with a few good wins to finish 6th but 2 games out of the 5. i finally got through a year with both knees intact, only had a few hamstring injuries but played my best in the last game with 4 goals sitting in the forward pocket, to bad i had bout 12 shots tho, lol.
but looking forward to a good preseason and having a good one next year.

Apparently after CMS's poor performance this year there seeking some young blood. Word on the street is that there getting 4 young kangarilla boys who are smashing it it in the hills country division. Wouldnt like to say who but my sources say two young guns could be returning home and a prominent full forward and midfielder could be joining them at crow land!
