lol, Its ETSA oval because it is in complex which is close to the ETSA power station and each different organisation used ETSA in the name.

Heard a whisper United have raided the Gepps Cross nest, luring 5 of thier A Grade players out to the Tower for 2011, including former Barossa premiership midfield/defender David Kellett.

they must just fit them into their allocated points, handy inclusions A grade Div 1 players. Ive known Kellet a long time, handy footballer when fit hes had alot of injury problems last couple of years. Good to see United not wasting their money on 1 player and buying 5 with that money!

There's 15 points if they come - how many points does United get 2011?

Na Chappy isn't worth any points I'm pretty sure. I think its a great move from United, forming a good base with several quality players rather than 1 or 2 BIG names. Think its important for the association that United have success as its so easy and convenient for young kids who go to school in TW, Balak or Mallala to want to be with thier mates, whereas if their A grade is successful you'll see more of those young kids wanting to stick around at United.

Pretty sure United have been allocated 11 points. Does a Div 1 player attract 2 or 3 points. Chris Mclean and Dave Kellet and who ever else that go with them.

I do find it slightly ammusing that a lot of you are commending United on buying 5 players instead of one. One of the reasons being that they are stuggling with juniors and it is a benefit to the assoc and it will keep players around the club but when Virginia does the same it's shot down in flames??? Different rules for different clubs obviously.

Div 1 is 3 points razzer.
So you would be thinking three senior colts play or something to allow the extra recruit on the park.

I also find it slightly amusing that you are likening Long Plains to Virginia, a town (if you can can it that) of approx 6 houses quite literally in the middle of nowhere, to a Town on the urban fringe with close to 2000 people (over 1500 of which are Australian born according to the ABS) not that you have to be Australian born to play footy. Any way i dont want to start this arguement again as like more other thinks its been done to death on here.

I think there was a board decision that players which were locals under last years import system would not attract points under this years system (ie Chappy & Pascoe)

A div 1 player is 3 points, as is a div 2 player, and div 3

That'd be like trying to take " Rome with a pop-gun". Kellett been at Moonta for at least 1 season. Don't let facts get in the way of a 'headline'SD.

make it 4 then Seagull  Kellett a good get though.

Admittedly, I did hear it from a former Mallala legend of the club so there may be a slight exaggeration in the truth. Please excuse me, I can't believe I had the tenacity to post something that may or may not have been true on this forum. I should know better.
