I've never really understood some things about Div 1 reserve teams. Is the Div 1 reserves a better standard than Div 2?

Heard a whisper United have raided the Gepps Cross nest, luring 5 of thier A Grade players out to the Tower for 2011, including former Barossa premiership midfield/defender David Kellett.

they must just fit them into their allocated points, handy inclusions A grade Div 1 players. Ive known Kellet a long time, handy footballer when fit hes had alot of injury problems last couple of years. Good to see United not wasting their money on 1 player and buying 5 with that money!

There's 15 points if they come - how many points does United get 2011?

We are only allowed 10 points this season. McLean and Kellett are 3 points each which still gives us 4 points to play with. Not sure how you come up with 5 players from Gepps Donkey, its actually only 2 players (McLean and Frangers). Obviously you needed to add a few for the impact you were after.

Swamp, anyone who has played the majority of their games from the previous season in a club's reserves team will be zero points if they head to another club.

Its usually best to keep this info on the down low though.... so clubs like Mallala dont find out

was with a div 3side last yr,top four side,played a div 1 res side in a trial and won by 6 goals,they even played 6 a graders in that side that day,so in a real game would be around div 2/3 standard.hope i make sense.

Not a chance it is even Div 4 standard. I'd think around the top half of Div 6.

I must admit I expected more of a reaction from you MC or at least some return fire Regardless two very handy recruits for United MC, will compliment things nicely for you guys especially if you can get 2 or 3 more with the remaining points. Will hopefully give Trav more of an opportunity to prove his worth as a coach, as there's no doubt he's a better coach than the ladder showed last year, must have been super frustrating for a loyal bloke like him.

There is an easy solution to this "saga" OnSong.. Get a copy of the so called contract or clearance that he has supposedly signed and post it on this forum! I bet u cant find either (and remember forging a signature is a crime)

i agree with PD you started the "Phillips said" crap ON-SONG and you have had plenty to say on many sites about it now how about you back it up!
