Back to back A grade finals surely the club is going all right? Seems a bit drastic least they wont be able to loose to the Hounds in another GF
If you can keep your head when all around you have lost theirs, then you probably haven't understood the seriousness of the situation.

Yeah back to back A grade grand finals are great and very hard to do only problem is not so good if club who has got no under age teams (believe the kids amalgamate with another team plaese let know if wrong) from what i hear struggle for numbers with the youngster and with no under age teams no future think broughton in same boat really struggling with numbers in their u/15 and u/17.

THE Yorke Peninsula Football League has lost umpires’ coordinator Lindsay Pratt and multiple Golden Whistle-winning umpire David O’Leary.
Comments made on social media sites after the A grade grand final suggested O’Leary favoured Kadina.
The comments were removed, and the person who initiated them has since apologised publically and personally, but not before they prompted O’Leary to resign last Tuesday.
About two hours after his resignation, Pratt — who said he copped verbal abuse whilst attempting to discipline brawling players from the sideline during the A grade game — also resigned.
YPFL president Brad Haylock said the grand final, in which the Bloodhounds defeated Bute by 20 points, was well officiated and the umpiring had no bearing on the final result.
He also defended the decision to select O’Leary, a former Kadina player, coach and life member, to officiate in the grand final match despite the chances he would likely become a target of spectator abuse.
For the full report, see the print issue of this week's YP Country Times.

This is hard to believe, seriously, Lindsay needs to have a cold hard look at himself if he has resigned due to this. Hopefully the next umpires coordinator can develop some positive umpiring culture within the YPFL...

Baffling decision by the umpires coach. Why send out a past player to umpire his former side in the GF, regardless if he's the best umpire. Multiple HFL Golden Whistle umpire Trevor MacDonald never umpires Kersbrook in Finals due to his allegiance to and being a life member and past player from Kersbrook.

This rumour comes up every so often. Have heard it the other way as well with the merged side to join the YPFL.

Who won all the B&F's. Lawson from Faulkner & Lee at Kadina. Rowntree won at Ardrossan.

Have also heard that the merged side will go to YP comp but from what i hear community footy board will not allow it as NAFA i think only have 6 clubs in comp and cant afford to lose another team where YP would be still strong with one less. But as i said in my 1st post about this its only story i have heard down hear in adelaide just see how much truth to it.

You'd think so, after 2 GF appearances and continual finals apperarances, but how many actually live in Bute or Kadina are actually in the Bute A Grade? Take out the Ceduna, Curry, Cleve, and Arthurton connections, and how much A grade talent is left? It is a credit to the spirit and culture of their club that they keep finding a way, but for how long is it sustainable? Especially if there is a drought, and believe they have missed out on lots of $$'s from losing the Pasky Field Days rubbish round.

I know Dean very well and he is a good footballer. Great to see him win the medal after his illness. He was a stand out in a side that finished 4th, an lucky to make 4th if it wasnt for him. I think someone said he would kick 100 goals. I think serle finshed with 96 all up after missing 4 games. The kadina boys in the mail medal, Lawson 20, Faulkner 19, Johno Lee 18. Very had for one bloke to stand out when 3 of the top 5 are in the same team. Faulkner and Lee also missed 3 games each. Great work by the bloods. Back 2 Back

I think you will find the real reason for Yappy finishing up, is that next year he will coach the B grade. Bute's bad sportsmenship was shocking. Calling the umps cheats and then the coach insulting us when he adressed the side after the loss in the grand final. Letting the play go is not cheating. Bute players were punching behind play then hiding behind Nelson. If it wasnt for Nelson and Avery bute might have lost all the respect.
Over the 4 games against Bute Kadina kicked 61 goals 59 to Butes 44 goals 40.

Bute werent the only ones throwing punches on the day, nor were they the only ones instigating the fights so dont say that Kadina can stand on their moral ground.

Personally, I think there was really only one decision that could be considered extremely questionable during the game and that was the mark in the goal square where both players had hands on the ball at the same time. Yes it resulted in a Kadina goal, but that one decision did not cost Bute the game. Butes lack of players on the day is what cost them, with the hard work being left to too few. As for the cheat calls and the coach insults, I cant comment but if they did happen then I must say I am surprised. It is not like Dave to speak out, he is normally very controlled with his emotions.

Is it true that the punches didnt stop at the game. Saturday night after the grand final the indiginous players at the bute football club had a few to many and fired up. Un happy with Hayden Cock being dropped. Jacko being the one who got them at the club. Word is that there was a fight, and the 2 Millers boys and brother boy Clinch have walked out on the club. The other one was polkinghorn has quit was coach. So Nelson now has no conection to the club. Only country talk,,, a friend heard it from a friend.
The Kadina Captain landed a couple of big punches that changed the whole game.

Cant comment on the supposed fights after the game. As for Dave, I dont know, but the past 2 years he was saying he wouldnt coach again then turned up the next year. Who knows there!

And if Dave has left, there is still Damien and Nick at the club. Unless they too are leaving?
