Probably a fair guess to assume they are unfinancial.

Not this week. Quiet week on the sporting front for me sadly. Will get stuck in to footy season previews in coming weeks though.

To be honest Longies are better off without these 2. I know one thing they will not play without each other. Im lead to understand they try and talk one another up but let's be honest only one of them can play. Im also told they are really close with willaston's coach so it wouldn't surprise me they have gone there. i know they were both injury prone at Gepps Cross. Not sure they would have won or lost united a ame this year so move on!

There's something in the TW Echo about your Centenary. I think that gets delivered in the next few days.

Any ideas on design etc would be appreciated.
I'm suggesting producing a custom-made medal unique to our league. If you get the Mail Medal as well, all well and good, but you should have a medal unique to your league IMO.

I like the idea of having a Player of the Year setup in the paper itself with weekly updates, ala the Sunday Mail Player of the Year and having a customised league medal voted on by umpires which would replace the current Mail Medal. No idea as to what it could be called though.

Agree with Donkey. Not sure how you would work out votes etc. for player of the year. Possibly get coaches to vote 3,2,1 on every games might be the most reliable way.

I've seen set-ups where club presidents award votes for the best players from the opposition team. Would that work for a player of the year sort of thing?

A bit unfair Rr. Whacka played at Longies last year without Chris. He had a limited preparation thus was underdone for most of the season, its unfortunate he hasn't committed to proving himself with the Tigers after just 1 year.
Would not matter too much if underdone or overdone, both are injury prone and should be paid per actual playing minute.

Could be anyone really as long as they are reliable and consistent. You wouldn't wanna be going off the best player lists as sometimes they could be misleading.

You would think them heading back to Willaston would be against all odds.
