I think a number of the lads would have known before me to be honest. Don't know if it's such a secret. But if you go to training, you will find out too.

I heard a VERY strong whisper from the inner sanctum at Roosterland, that the brand spanking new guernsey of one of TW most senior players may be left in the bag for season 2011.

Co-captain Scott Humphrys has picked up a job in WA. Unfortunate timing for the Roosters but these things happen.
He'll probably end up playing in the Goldfields Football League, Kalgoorlie.

Don't get me wrong, he is a good footballer but lets be honest he is replaceable.

I don't think the biggest issue is with his ability, I think they will miss his leadership. Co-captain for a reason I would imagine.

Just hope they have about 10-12 coming into that side
If they havent, Nelson would be under the pump big time

Did Christmann and the likes play? Was a talented junior from memory

of all the boys I know
only Caterall didnt play, still taking it easy with the knee.
Pepe, Lockwood, Moody, Christman all played

If thats what this team plays like then it is gonna be another very long season for HB

Yeah as most people say with trials few boys missing, I can think of 4 straight away in Caterall, Allen, Tommy Smith and Rhys Savage which are all qualtity footballers and would make a difference plus a couple others I am lead to believe. In saying that the trial didn't look pretty for the bombers, a little messy. Burgess kicked 4 out of 8 goals and a few other players had moments but overall you wouldn't think Hamley would be too satisified with the performance. A few new blokes plus a couple that have come back to the club after a year elsewhere so hopefully it is all about the boys needing to gel on the field more and the next few trials will be handy for this to happen. Hoping for the Bombers fans that it is a more successful year than it has been.

Scott has many qualities that will be missed, he has been under-rated by opponents but never by his club. He has already played 100 A grade games which included a complete A grade season as a 17 year old. A shame he is moving on, but I wish him (and Bronte) all the best in the new adventure in the goldfields.
