This would leave the association with 3 teams.

Yep, association is folding from what I've been told last night. Tennis probably not too far behind either since we basically played with only 3 teams this year.

Which tennis league is this? Is there a closer league they can join? Follow Mallala and TW to Gawler?

They wouldn't cut it in that tennis league hey Jumbo?

Gawler Barossa tennis league is pretty strong now days amongst the top teams. No.1 and No.2 positions anyway.

But general overall standard over the last 10 years has dropped away quite badly.

Oh well. Hopefully something can be worked out with the cricket situation though...

I think I know who you are! The standard in the Gawler was dropping back in 07 loss of teams in lower divs but from I can recall the top 3 teams had very good players occupying numbers 1-3. Not sure how long gawler stayed in its own league after 07 but it seems all cports in general is copping loss of teams

I used to work with Brad Perry who always talked about his days at Sandy Creek.
Did they get to wear the Colonel suits and catch tennis balls for cash at Adelaide Oval?

Can't remember his name, but I heard Barry Burgess's brother has signed with Hamley Bridge and will be playing against the Peckers tomorrow. Can you confirm FGH?

Brett Burgess the only Burgess in the budget. 22 names in there for HB though.

Our top players would be able to compete well I feel Gilbert, but the depth would certainly be tested. I remember our top 2 men at Long Plains having a doubles scratchy against mallala's top 2 a bit over a year ago and winning 9-4.

OK, just heard he was at training last night having a look. Maybe Sponge has left this one up his sleeve.

Barry was out at training Thursday night but Brett is the only Burgess pulling the boots on this weekend. The eldest Burgess retired during the week due to his knee but something tells me that you may have known that already The Duke

Why would Virginia invite another club to their family fun day? :?

Yes mate I certainly do. Unfortunatly we have lost the a1s gf 2 years in a row. We won a2s and a3s in the season just gone. We only joined the barossa and light two years ago and have done ok but still chasing the big one.
Back to the creek it is.
