Wow, hasn't there been some huff and puff over a trial game.....

I agree the league should be consistent, but surely there are more interesting things to talk about on here, personally I couldnt give two s**** about whether or not Virginia played an extra game or not. We all know that what happens this time of the year doesn't have any real effect on how performance in late Aug and Sept, so i really couldn't care less. My view is that if a club needs to be playing a trial game at any stage during the season then they clearly haven't done the work before the season started. Agree that there is no fitness training like game fitness particularly when you have 2 byes in a row, but IMHO there is nothing to be gained from playing a mickey mouse trial during the season other than to increase the chance of injuries.

I saw Rocky Catz when we played TW the other week. Had a brief chat to him for a couple of minutes and he said he was looking at joining TW. He told me at the end of last year that he won't be playing for Virginia again. Will be a handy B Grader, possibly make the A Grade. Huge guns he carries on his arms!

Top bloke though.

I find it very interesting (and also embarrassing) that our league is run the way it is. While this may only be an internet forum, people need to voice opinions & hold these people accountable for there actions. And once again, i'm talking about league directors not VFC, in case anyone else wants to think i'm picking on the rams for a stupid trial game!

That is all that has been said on here Donkey. FWIW I agree with Jumbo and the Woofa. I read the article in the Proddy on my holidays over the weekend and if it counts, IMO I don't think it was a crack at the sponsors just a cheap crack at the league.

I agree MC, but I don't think the league board members really care about what is written on here unfortunately.
